I took him for the online Corporate Finance class during the summer. It was ALOT of material/reading. The material was difficult so you had to practice to make sure you understood. I had to study everyday for at least 2 hours. If you study a lot and keep up with due dates you'll be fine.

Favorite professor of all time. Dr. Basciano truly cares about his students. He spent over an hour with me this past summer when I visited him during office hours seeking his advice regarding an internship. He takes the time to ask how you're doing AND offers to help if he can. His classes are all very challenging but are worth it.

Regarding summer online class: I heard this class was super hard. My experience: I devoted a LOT of time but thought it was very manageable. I don't think he really did anything to try to make it hard, its just a ton of stuff to absorb in 7 weeks. I definitely wouldn't recommend taking it just to fit that one last class in.

I liked the way he taught this class. Attendence was not mandatory but he sometimes gave VERY helpful hints as to what was going to be on the exams if you went to class.

Not for the faint of heart, but sadly a requirement for most. Forces you to participate in superficial (and honestly useless) online "discussions" in which everyone regurgitates the same content directly from the book. Graduate students WILL make your responses look bad. Online test and quiz questions can be very poor or ambiguous, be prepared.

Great class, great professor, but definitely not easy. You have to study and spend a lot of time outside of class. If you have a lot going on in your life outside of school, this class can be very difficult because it is demanding. But overall very interesting!

I had heard all the horror stories of how difficult this class was! It was very hard! I never missed a class which was a first for me and it paid off. DO NOT MISS A CLASS! I'm a "C" student and made an A, but had to work my tail off. You will feel a high level of achievement after passing his class in my opinion!

I do not recommend UNLESS you HAVE to take the course. He is really nice, but his tests are hard. He does give you the possibility of using your final to replace your lowest test grade. UNfortunately final is all calculations, very very difficult course. I would once again not recommend with this professor.

Sets clear objectives. Presents the material systematically and thoroughly. Not "easy," but not difficult either in that expectations are clearly set.
