Not a bad class. It was easy however the TAs graded the essays instead of the professor. I studied but managed to pull out a B+. If you want to get an A you better have a writing style that the TAs will like and let it flow. Overall it's a cool class.

Too much reading for a 114 class. He's easy on the papers. However, if you want an A on the two tests you better do your reading and still you might pull off an A-. The tests are all essay, 4 essays, 15 min. each. My hand hurt by the time I was done. No fun! Still an intresting class.

VERY boring lectures. Didn't attend class regularly because I felt that I didn't gain any from the lectures. The best info was gained during the study sessions with the TA's. Interesting class.. just boring lecture. Still, I would take it again.

An intersting class! Recommended! He's a nice professor, he will help you out when you need it. If you want to get an A def. read your stuff, but you can get by with a B without doing much reading. Overall the class can be interesting, if you are open-minded enough.

At the beginning of the class, he said "if you do not like reading and writing do not take this course, it will be hard for you". I wanted to challenge myself; however, there is no callenge at all. Just do what a typical student should do; he doesn't want anything extraordinary. BE THOUGHTFUL!... :)

He is an interesting professor. Has lot's of stories to tell... THe lectures can be pretty boring... THe videos arent that great... THe exams are all essay and they can be difficult but I didn't study much and I still pulled off a B on the first test so I guess it wasnt that bad...

Sounds like maybe the seminar courses are his best - I had a wonderful experience in his Conflict Res. class. Eager to engage students in class discussion & relate outside experience to material from class. Open to students' ideas and attitudes.

literally like watching paint dry on a wall. he takes over an hour to do a 10 min. lecture and then teh following class period, sums up the lecture from the day before in 10 minutes. just odd.

He is very monotonous, but he does give you a list of essay questions before the test from which four will appear. Assigns one paper which is pretty easy. Attendence is important to him but you can sleep.

For verbal listeners, definitely. He doesn't write on the board really at all and does not hand out notes. For exams, he gives you ESSAY questions to think about ahead of time.
