This course was frustrating because the professor did not give constructive feedback at all. The marks on my papers etc. did not explain the problem (or how to improve it), and he would not answer questions when asked (they were not grammatical issues, just words he did not like). He added time consuming assignments at random, not in the syllabus.

Peter is hands down best professor I have had at the University. He makes learning about photograph fun, but challenges you to open up and be a risk taker. Wants you to improve on each weekly assignment. Very understanding and gives great feed back. Best course I have taken in Art thus far.

Egotistical, stuck on himself, bragging about UNR photography program like a car salesman - you should not have to do that every other class - that says something and also that you know it.Talking about himself all the time, wastes your time and money. Puts students down. Worst teacher I have ever had.

Amazing professor! So smart and engaging. He keeps you interested and is so passionate about photography. Don't miss his class and don't slack off. He won't give you feedback on your work, but is willing to help you out with all your questions and give recommendations. Always pay attention because he'll call you out in the middle of class.

I can honestly say I have never learned more from anyone. Prof. Goin was extremely helpful, well prepared for class, beyond knowledgeable about every subject and person. I feel so lucky to have been able to have such a highly qualified artist teaching, and working with students.

History of Photography was, perhaps, one of the most interesting collegiate classes I've ever taken. Prof. Goin is an extremely eloquent speaker and a truly great guy. He has a great deal of passion for teaching and does it very well. Unfortunately, our final class grade was made up of only a Midterm, Research Paper, and an essay Final.

Very motivated and supportive, but a lot of self-promotion & not a lot of hands on. He leaves that for others. Very knowledgeable, but seemingly not open to other important considerations about photo/art/biz info. Great demeanor but should further embrace & promote current technologies better with an ear & eye towards guding students to the biz sid
