Hutch is the best and hardest teacher I've ever had. He is very intimidating at first, but once you learn his quarks, the class will become easier. You will work very hard, but you will gain so much knowledge and understanding about the subjects he teaches. Don't be afraid to take him, just be prepared to work hard.

Hutch is a great teacher! The class is hard but you definitely learn a lot. You have to put in a lot of time but the homework assignments are spaced out pretty well. You can use a notecard for the tests the first semester & a notebook piece of paper for the second so it's definitely helpful. If you take him, be prepared to work, but it's worth it!

Probably one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is tough but so is life so suck it up and deal with it. He truly cares about his students and if you are willing to work he will help you find the correct answers. YOU MUST PUT THE TIME IN

Dr. Hutch is a great guy, but very, very intimidating in class. He does it all for show to rigorously teach the students the material. Best teacher I have ever had. Very hard grader to please. But, I highly suggest taking any classes you can with him. As an econ major, one of the best at SVC.

GREAT teacher. best teacher at svc. Very hard to get a good grade in stats. you get to use notecards on every test and homework is annoying but not that bad. he is a VERY hard grader. if i didn't care about my grade i would love him because i learned a lot, he just nitpicks EVERYTHING.

I usually don't care too much about grades, but Dr. Hutch motivated me to try. Sometimes he'll ride you if he calls on you and you keep saying the wrong answers, but if you can laugh at yourself I think it's pretty funny. The homework is easy if you write down the steps to do the problems when he goes over them in class! Tests are tough, but fair.

Maybe nice outside of class, but he is a tool in the classroom. I put hours and hours of hard work in to get a bad grade. Your "opinion" must match his for it to be right. Very demoralizing and a relentless attacker if you respond incorrectly. Hutch is the banker on Deal or No Deal.

Hutch is a great teacher. The class itself is hard but he makes sure that you're learning. You can't do well in his class if you don't put forth the effort. You get what you earn and he's always available for help.Get to know Hutch, he's one of the best professors I know. He really does care about his students.

Tough, but generally fair. Great micro teacher. Stats homework assignment requirements are sometimes unclear. Get to know him outside of class. He doesn't exactly play favorites, but you won't succeed in his classes unless you try, and it helps if he knows you're trying. Plus, it's nice to know him.
