Peter LOVES what he teaches and he knows a lot about the history of photography. If you want to succeed in this class just listen in his lectures and study for the tests - its that easy. Hes witty and very straight forward and although his lectures are long he knows what hes talking about.

Peter is very interested in what he teaches. And you'll learn a lot about the forefathers of photography. You'll take lots of notes, do a paper or two each semester, and take a midterm and final that you do very well on if you study your notes. Very easy class, there's no homework besides those papers

Honestly, Peter is one of the sweetest people and he is so passionate about the history of photography. He is light hearted, goofy, and incredibly endearing. He knows so much and though he can be quite boring, it's in your best interest to get to know him and pay attention.

Comment:

Peter is not only noticeably passionate about what he teaches, but incredibly knowledgeable about the subject and always willing to help. Getting an "A" in the course is far from difficult. Just pay attention and take thorough, organized notes. His tangents are often noteworthy as well. I definitely recommend Peter's History of Photography class.

Peter certainly knows his stuff; He's one of those "walking encyclopedia" types. Classes are in basic lecture structure, accompanied by slides. Peter is very easy going with grades, pretty easy to get an A in his class. He tends to go off on random tangents from time to time, but those are pretty entertaining. Take him if you can!

He's very interested in the subject. Knows alot. Has a great over view of the subject. Can help you with your questions if you don't interrupt him. Find someone who writes good notes and follow what he says. History of photography II is much more interesting than the first one. Wait for it. If I get a chance, will take another course with him

I enjoyed his class very much! His lectures made the subject come alive for me. As a student who had few knowledge about photo history, it was such great time learning from someone who knew so much about the topic and was so passionate about it. His tests were always straight forward & if u pay attention & take notes, u will do great! :D

As an international student from Europe, he took into consideration that english was not my mother tongue and it gave me the strength to improve myself and get more involve in every topic he was talking about. His lectures are really interesting and very usefull to understand more every artists.

I thoroughly enjoyed Peter's class. His lectures are easy to follow and are really interesting, especially for someone who loves the topic as much as I do. The class would benefit from a)Showing more slides and b)Handing out pre-typed notes so that students can actually pay attention to the content of his lecture rather than mindlessly copying down what he says word for word. This would also allow him to clearly delineate what WILL and WILL NOT be on the exam as he enjoys going off on tangents.

Great guy, great personality and very smart. Looks like Andy Warhol too - always a plus. Class starts out slow but there's alot to learn and Peter helps you along the way if you need it. Very personable.
