The most terrible professor I have ever met. Not only bad at teaching, but also has racial discrimination.

Can't talk write because he had a stroke. Can't write on the board because his right hand is impaired. Can't adjust the projector because he's just inept. Failed a large portion of the class [probably 40%], probably because he was angry no one attended. There was about a 10-15% attendance every class. TA's were only so helpful. If you want to pass,

Meer is awful. I feel bad for him becasue of his health problem and while it is a sensitive issue I wish the EE department would remove him from the teaching faculty. Lecture attendence was constantly around 15%. He speaks with some difficulty and cannot write on the board. His exams are extremely tough as his teaching and the book are very poor.

I respect the department's wishes to keep this man working since he'd been there at the school for so long, but he seriously cannot teach anymore. After his stroke, his speech is slurred and he cannot lift his right arm (dominant), so his writing is poor too. Answering questions takes a lot of time and effort from him since he doesn't use the board

Due to his health problems he cannot teach. period. Don't go to lectures. Attend all recitations. Book isn't that great either but you have to work hard. He threatened to not curve in the end as a result many students dropped out. But out of some 70-75 students about 21 got an A. Not Bad. He failed very few who barely got 20's in all their exams.

I went to every class but can't honestly say I was any better off. If I didn't know most of the material beforehand I'd probably have failed... When the man has to use his nose to point at a piece of paper he's holding it's a bad sign.

Meer can't speak a coherent sentence, much less teach a lecture. I could have learned the same amount of logic from a two year old than I did from him.

I feel bad for the guy because he's disabled, but he should not teach this tough course. Course material didn't seem so bad until exam time came. Exams are hard and worded very ambiguously. Harsh grader, average for the 1st exam was a little over a 50 and the average for the 2nd exam was a little under a 50. On top of that, the textbook sucks.

Doesn't teach, and a harsh grader to boot. In order to learn anything in this class, you HAVE to learn it all from the book. I feel bad about the stroke, but this is ridiculous!I feel completely cheated out of my money and, far worse, my time with this class. DEFINITELY avoid if you can. Thanks Meer, for making this relatively easy class a nightmare

Should not be teacher. He may be the smartest man alive, but if he cant teach/talk he should not be teaching. Taking this class makes me feel like I was ripped off of my money. Dont take unless absouloutely neccessary, and if it is...god help you.

I respect his accomplishment on research and his spirit. He'd better to concentrate on his research instead of teaching in the lecture hall. People didn't go to the class because they couldn't learn anything from him.

If you stopped listening to your Ipod or playing with your phone you might actually understand DLD. Meer, if you have seen his research background, is incrediblely intelligent. His stroke has affected his ability to teach, but if anything you should show him way more respect than just showing up to take a nap. Jerks.
