He is a nice man but the quizzes are difficult. He is a boring teacher and it is very easy to space out. The quizzes usually go into more detail than what he teaches in class

He's a great guy but this class was dull as bricks. It was fine to fulfill a core requirement but I'm so glad that it's over. He doesn't use the textbook at all. You need to go to class to get good marks. I found out the hard way and had to shape up and endure the boredom. His tests are difficult if you don't get his lecture notes down pat.

Prof. Rosen is interesting... He has a lot of passion for what he teaches, but has trouble with being coherent. Sometimes he gets too excited about a topic to explain it well, which is amusing. He tries very hard and is very knowledgeable, but he repeats himself constantly. The first half of class is a review of the last lecture, which is annoying.

TERRIBLE PROFESSOR! I don't know what any of his previous students were thinking when they said Professor Rosen is a great educator. As someone who went to class everyday I can say with some authority that this may be the worst professor at Northeastern. His lectures are pointless ramblings. If you take this class you'll learn nothing. Miserable.

BEST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD! I'm not even a science major, and really wasn't super interested in the material, but he made the course so much fun. He has genuine interest in what he teaches and he's really entertaining. Don't buy the book, everything you need is in the lectures. If you can, take it with a friend and switch off days.

Great guy. Loves what he teaches which makes you love it. Lectures are a little boring. GO TO CLASS! All quiz material is from lectures. He puts study guides on Blackboard. I found it very helpful to have them with me as he lectured. Study for quizzes,they're not too hard but you need to know the material. Term paper is fairly easy. Don't need book

Really boring class but the teacher made the class interesting. He was really interested in his class and wanted to make sure everyone knew. Quizzes are a bit tricky make sure you study. Only one paper that wasn't too hard. Really helpful and a nice guy

A pretty good class, not too hard. Just pay attention in class and take good notes. Tests can be somewhat tricky, but are manageable if you study. You don't need to buy the book, everything on the exams are covered in class. He assigns one term paper which isn't too bad either. Good guy overall

I agree, Rosen is the man, and this class changed my life. His enthusiasm about the topics covered in class kept me going to this 8am day after day. Who knew ventifacts could be so fun. When I had this class I use to brag about it to my friends. When was the last time you did that? Oh and did I mention rosen is the man?

I admit to being biased because he's my advisor, but Rosen is THE MAN! One of the best lecturers ever, and will go far, far, far out of his way to accomodate you or help you however possible. Bonus-this class (enviro planning) has a kickass field trip!
