Literally had no idea what was going on in this class. Yarensky is such a nice guy and accepts feedback but I wouldn't take another class with him. No readings, tests, or clear grading criteria. Assigned 3 papers on the last day of class saying not to worry about them. Ended up being worth over half of our final grades. Ask him to play the fiddle.

No tests, homework, grades, etc until the last day of the class at which time he assigned a ridiculously long, vague, and difficult research paper and expected us to self-learn considering we didn't learn anything at all in class.

Worst teacher. Did absolutely nothing all semester (no tests, quizzes, hw) and then he assigns a HUGE paper the last class of the semester and we have no idea how to do it.

A lot of homework. Not very good at teaching statistics. You have to teach yourself most of the material. Most tests are take home, overall a pretty decent class. If you can't teach yourself math don't take this.

A really nice professor, he really wants you to do well. His wording can be a little confusing sometimes and the grading is a little harsh but it's okay so long as you pay attention consistently.

Professor Yarensky is the nicest man on this campus. He is so reasonable, flexible, and kind. The class isn't necessarily 'easy', you have to do the work, but he really wants his students to succeed. The final exam was take home.

Great professor, tells you everything you need to know and explains it clearly. Always willing to help, will answer any questions. Class is pretty simple, just understand the hw's and you'll do fine. Make sure to ask him to play the fiddle

He is a pretty cool guy. Not that great of a teacher, talks in copious amounts of circles. You will not get done as much as he sets out. Pushes things back. Does take home tests which is nice. Overall a good guy who will help you if needed. He looks like a yeti. Tells stupid jokes. I went to every class and probably didn't need to.

dude is a straight up hippy from the 60s. Real into playing the fiddle. Proper/ stuck up students would find him to be a terrible professor. I liked the guy. He isn't very hard and if you accept his humor he can be kind of funny. I failed Psych stats my freshman year and got a B+ in his class sophomore year, that should tell you something.

Give this guy a raise! Seriously, he is awesome. Really cares about his students, is so flexible about assignment and paper/test due dates. Very smart and knowledgable- but I also think the best word to describe him would be "whimsical". Still, he's great, and it is a good course despite how boring the subject can be. You don't need to buy the text

This guy is crazy. He will spend the entire class telling you how late he was up preparing the class and then before you know it class is done. Go to class and do your homework, it really takes no other studying time.He wants you to do well.. & ask him to play violin. He'll literally do it for an entire class.

Mr Yarensky is a nice guy but an aweful college prof. Every class we spent hearing about why he wasn't prepared for class instead of learning. This set us back so far with material he was forced to give us the third test as optional. Never got to so much bc we flat out ran out of time. Easy grader but very stressful when it comes to the final exam

I'm only a sophomore but i can honestly say he is my favorite professor. He truly cares about his students and wants them to do well. He may not always be on track, but he never penalizes the students for it! If anything it's easier on us. He's approachable and he actually is smart. When he raises his pointer finger, make sure you listen!

I don't even know where to begin... Was never prepared for class; tests were entirely conceptual yet all that is taught is how to use formulas.

An amazing teacher and one of the most humble, helpful, and caring professors at UNH. He makes class enjoyable and the material easy to digest as well as always being enthusiastic and committed to his students. It would be foolish of you to not take a class with him. All work is moderate in difficulty and is well-paced. Definitely recommended.

Professor Yarensky is amazing. He is one of the nicest, most understanding, easy to talk to professors I have ever met. He makes the horrible subject of statistics bearable!
