Blaker is not insulting at all- it's the morons like you, sleeping in his classes that tick the man off. Respect the man, and you shall be respected. As for helpfulness, this man, in countless situations, has gone out of his way to ensure his students learn the subject matter, staying long hours to advise, even if for the needs of a single student.

I recomend him for any history class! His format is so easy. Just show up to class and take the notes. Yes it is black and white notes, but oh well its worth it. He is great! no doubt take him!

He is funny...but he has a dry sense of humor so some people don't think so. I had him one semester and i took him again the next. He is pretty basic and does the same format over and over so you catch on pretty quickly!

Honestly, one of the most boring teachers I have ever had!!! And he really likes to insult you. If you absolutely love history and even do some pleasure reading about it, then take this class. Otherwise, plan to be insulted and take a lot of nice long naps. Tests are horrible and so are the notes. I hate his class, it makes me hate history!

Blaker is a good teacher. Yeah, he has a monotone voice and he does use boring powerpoints. BUT he gives you a decent amount of grades and he gives you study guides for tests.

So Boring! Monotone speaker, powerpoint presentations with white backgrounds and black text. Changes slides way too quickly making it impossible to even get half the information from them. Hated his class. He isn't very understanding but can surprise you when you least expect it.

You have to be a complete idiot to fail one of his classes. It's all memorization. (if you like Crowl...you'll like Blaker) they're both corny but funny at the same time...also they know what they're talking about..tests can be difficult if you didnt study...but everything is in the notes!!! it's easy!!!

Dr. Blaker is a great teacher. The notes are really easy to copy down and they're well organized. He also gives a study guide for the tests which makes studying a lot easier, considering the tests cover a lot of information.

Really awesome. Makes history fun by giving you random cool facts. I took him for everything he offered. He does better in American history than in Western Civ. I wouldn't suggest taking him for western civ but do for American History

Professor Blaker is kinda cool. He makes dumb jokes that you have to laugh at. If History is not your major- dont take him- take someone easier. Read the book and study for quizzes and tests- hopefully you can write good essays! good luck!

Boring teacher, but he gives you a study guide for each test and tells you exactly what to know. So if you can put up with the boring lectures, and study the study guides, you are guaranteed a B. He is just REALLY boring!
