I think that the previous two comments were made by Phil Malone. Pedagogically, confusing presentation does not "exercise" your brain and as for not taking him if you are lazy/dumb. I wouldn't take him if you are smart/hardworking. You will accomplish much more, minus the frustration under a professor that has carefully planned/engaging instruction

Dr. Malone is one of the best instructors I've ever had. His teaching methods are quite confusing, especially if you don't know finance, but this is the way he makes you learn on your own, instead of counting on a miracle. If you're lazy and/or dumb, don't take him. But if you like getting your brain exercised, definitely go with Malone.
