Dorin knows almost everything about computer science, but he also expects you to be on that same level as an undergraduate. While I do enjoy his lectures and his assignments are manageable, the tests are what matter the most, and they are incredibly difficult. Just make sure you pay attention in class and participate when you can.

DORIN IS THE GRAND WIZARD OF COMPUTER SCIENCE. There isn't anything he doesn't know. I swear sometimes he is a computer himself. Great, excellent, amazing teacher. The classes are hard, yeah, but he is great, and does help explain things.

Superb teacher. Always gives a perfect description of each problem and a well-explained approach to solving said problem. I improved my programming significantly in this class. Dorin is a very cool dude.

Dr. Dorin is awesome. He's extremely intelligent on a wide range of topics and he loves the subject matter (especially the combinatorial optimization stuff) which makes it a joy to learn from him, though I found the subject matter itself to be extremely difficult at times. He's definitely one of my favorite professors at LMU.

Dr. Dorin is VERY knowledgable on a wide range of topics relating computing, and even many that are not. Intro to Computer Science does not require a text, which is nice. Prof. Dorin gives good lectures. I've heard from others who have taken his classes that he can be a little unclear in explaining things, but that's a rare and slight problem.

Dorin is amazing. Very smart and has a great history in the subject. Very mysterious though... why does he always have bandaids on his fingers? Also, if you're taking a class with him in the annex, bring some ice cream or something to help you stay awake.

Good old Dr. Dorin! Fun, helpful and also challenging. You'll learn a lot in his class, but you have to pay attention. Ask him about Microsoft Decathlon sometime....

Great teacher, very hard material. If you have to take this class you will do a lot of studying, if you don't, good luck. A plus is that the small class sizes allow for daily one on one help with the professor during class.

He's a good teacher, but the material can get boring and very hard if you miss a class. He'll help you out though, but take this class if you're really detail and logic oriented.
