This class is not easy, but I got an A, so it's possible. Major studying is needed, and the tutor is very helpful. Mr. Nelson gives study guides for every test, so study them! His teaching technique may be difficult, but he is very knowledgeable.

This professor is not very good. He doesn't really explain what he's doing. He just sort of does it and expects you to understand. If you ask a question, he will answer it, but he will do so in a tone that makes it sound as if you're stupid and should already know. I do NOT recommend this professor if you're unfamiliar with intermediate algebra.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS INSTRUCTOR UNLESS YOU ARE ALREADY GOOD IN MATH!!! HE MAKES MISTAKES, AND IF STUDENTS DON'T POINT THEM OUT, OH WELL NEXT! HE'S INCONSISTENT RE:MATERIAL TO BE COVERED ON QUIZZES,DOESN'T LIKE TO EXPLAIN. IF YOU WANT TO PASS THIS CLASS, THEN TEACH YOURSELF! I DROPPED WITHIN THE FIRST MONTH 1/2!

He can barely read the textbook himself. He makes a lot of mistakes. If you do no correct him, he won't even realize he has done wrong. He grades terribly. Only good thing is he keeps your 10 best quizzes which are not all that hard if you do the homework. I would NOT recommend him. Even the counselors do not advise him.

This class is only easy if you already have taken algebra 2 or calculus in High School. I do not recommend this class to students who struggle with math, you will be lost the entire semester. He does not explain how to do the problems step by step. Very difficult class for me.

is not the worst instructor. People, are you in College to learn something? so study yourself - textbook is only thing you need - read chapters, take notes while reading and do the homework (exercises). if you are good with math you will be fine. I got A and I worked hard. It is doable. Quizes have study quizes - do them and homework everytime.

I knew that he was going to be a hard teacher before I registered for his class, but I quickly realized why he was considered hard. Both him and the text book have errors. If not corrected by his students he WILL teach you the wron material. HE grades his quizes very inconsistanly. I ended dropping his class inorder to save my GPA.

Very difficult to understand. He does all the problems on the computer which makes it hard to understand what he is doing. Does not seem to care and has an indifferent attitude towards getting you to understand the material. Does problems without showing steps. He even said that you must find outside sources to pass his class. STAY AWAY.

Hard teacher. Makes you feel stupid if you don't understand the material. Had to study 8 hours a day and teach myself the material by reading the book and visiting other sites to help me. If you can take this course elsewhere, I strongly recommend it.

This teacher is absolutely horrible!!! I finally figured out his whole philosophy: its to "weed out" all the potential new nurses, so he teachers intro to chem like an honors course. So that he can get rid of any potential pre-nursing students before they get to nursing school. If you donot need this class for your major DONOT take this course!

HARD!! He has been teaching this class for 20 years and cannot understand why the students don't get it. The textbook (Goldberg) was horrible. Chemistry should not be this hard. I have never worked so hard for a B-. Most of the class (80-90%) are failing. Take this from someone else!

I had him for Algebra. He couldnt even do the problems correctly! He would fill the board with shortcuts we hadnt even learned yet, make a mistake and quit. Worst teacher I ever had. I was warned about him and its all true. Changing his clothes at least once a semester wouldnt hurt either.

My first year here, his first year here...I hate bio, but learned a great deal. He's tough, but then if you're going to become a med student or nurse, if you can't hack it than you don't belong in the field.
