Prof Harman was pretty good - although I think he might not even be teaching anymore. Not too hard, very helpful. And did anyone else notice that the last 5 posts were definitely by the same person? ... very strange.

If you have the chance, take Harman! He is one of the few professors that can actually answer students' intelligent, challenging questions. He does so convincingly, too. If i had the choice I would have taken him for all of my political science courses. He will challenge you but you will learn a significant amount in his classes!

The best professor I've had at Assumption! Don't take him if you are looking for an easy A, but if you want to actually learn a tremendous amount then definitely take him! His highly intelligent lectures are spoken in sophisticated language but are easily understood. He ties in real life issues that help students understand not so recent documents.

Prof. Harman simultaneously offers complex philosophical thought and practical questions that all students of politics should confront. Pierce Harman was one of the best professors a student of politics could ask for. His immense knowledge of politics from the range of JS. Mill to the Federalist papers is unmatched by any other professor at Assumption. If you are a true student of politics then you must take one of his lectures

Professor Harman can speak on any topic convincingly and eloquently. His classes are extremely stimulating and interesting. In fact, most students WANT to go to a Harman class. Many often make it in the middle of winter with a high fever or severe cold. His classes are so educational, it has been to known to cure hangovers.

Decent professor, knows his stuff. Like other people said, he likes to hear himself talk. What I DONT get is how people find him hot. Sure, he looks young (although I think he's 40) but unless youre attracted to nerdy men with bowties, he's not attractive. I'd take his class again, though.

One of the best classes I have taken at AssCo. Pierce is knowledgeable, friendly, unbiased, and open to questions. The class is easy if you put in the time to outline the readings, which are short. He is a fair professor who is for the student, not for his own self-interests. I highly recommend this course with him.

Prof Harman is an EXTREMELY intelligent man. His class is pretty interesting, even if you're not a fan of politics. He presents the material in a way everyone can understand. He encourages questions and showing interest in the subject. As long as you go to class and you'll do fine. And why wouldn't you want to go, he's gorgeous!

Good guy. It seems as though he likes to hear himself talk sometimes, which can make it difficult to pay attention. Nice though, reasonable when you go and talk to him, but his tests and quizzes can be ridiculously nitpicky, almost as if he's testing you on your notetaking skills, rather than whether or not you are grasping the material.

This was a fun class. There is a lot of reading to do, also 2 essays,quizes,midterm,final,and a presentation. He tries to make the material fun and it sometimes works. He's not an easy grader, there aren't many people who can get over a B on essays. He does curve grades. Great class if you like politics and debating with people over todays issues.

Pierce is a character. He looks like a nerd and really dislikes NeoCons. Gives a quiz now and again. Reading is usually pretty easy. He's not very tough, he's very fair and respectful to students, and his classes are not too bad. Sometimes he's a bit too loquatious.
