HIST1525 is heavy on reading (novels) and assignments on top of participation. She is a tough grader. Don't take expecting an easy A. You have to work hard to get top grades but it's worth it. I love her class. She is knowledgable, passionate, and inspirational. It was a pleasure being her student. She should honestly be teaching at an ivy league.

Dr. Herr is simply incredible. She has an endless depth of knowledge about the subject matter. Her class is challenging, but if you study and take notes in class you'll manage. Even at 8:00 AM she's fired up and ready to lecture.

Very nice and her class is interesting because of how passionate she is about the subject. You use the books a lot and the quizzes are open book. Gives a study guide for the exams which is super helpful. She knows her stuff. Just study and read and you'll be fine. Maybe even learn a thing or two!

One of the worst teachers I ever had! I don't know where these other students r getting their info! She embarrasses you if u don't no the answer, makes u feel stupid!!She thinks u should be fluent! Dr. Herr was a great professor, her lectures were clear and concise (Making it very easy to study for tests), her tests were challenging, but she allowed us to use 5x8 note cards while taking the test, her attendancy policy is limited, but overall she's a reasonable professor who respects her students and works well with them.

She knows her stuff, thats most of the problem, she thinks everyone going into spanish is going to pick it up quickly and if you dont...watch out...her face gets red, she breaks chalk. She has no patience, she should def. be something other than a teacher -shes so mean. I wanted to cry every time she called on me because she embarassed you so bad!!
