Have taken her twice, awesome teacher, she loves to talk about her life which can be repetitive at times, but a very easy grader as long as you write the papers correctly. You have multiple opportunities to gain extra credit which will help you on your final.

Okay...so yes this lady is strange but all you have to do is accept the weirdness and laugh at it. Her class is very easy and the assignments, though weekly, are ridiculously easy. I even accidentally missed the final and she let me take it the next day. If you want an easy class that you can not pay attention to and get an A, take it with her.

Possibly the most frustrating class I have ever had. She is super disorganized to the point where you don't know what is on exams. She is also very unprofessional and talks down to students. The class itself was ok and pretty easy when you knew what was going on. Would not recommend!

Awful teacher. Very disorganized. Does not lecture about anything on the exams. HOWEVER, if you are organized, know how to communicate with her, and are patient... you will be FINE! Also, memorization is key for the final and midterm. Everything else is just easy busy work.

worst professor at USD. wish she would retire. the grading scale is designed so that you fail her class and its impossible to get an a. wouldn't recommend her ever! the entire class she lectures about things that aren't on midterm or final. waste of my life!

Dr. Plovanich is helpful during office hours & shows interest in me as a student. HOWEVER, I would NOT recommend this class/professor. In addition to the other issues posted(which are true)I have found she does not lecture to final exam material. You have to teach yourself from the study guide. Also her grading is different from others, be aware.

She can be disheveled in class but if you can manage to pay attention and copy down her notes you'll do fine. Weekly essays where you basically copy from the textbook. Tests are just regurgitations of her lecture. She changes syllabus dates often. Overall a passable class and she will help you if you need it. I would take her again.

most arrogant and bitter women i have had as a teacher. she mentions once a class about how she isnt scared of anything cuz she is from the bronx. so unclear and disorganized. she is rude to students that ask questions. she would do the entire department a favor if she just retired. she has mastered the art of wasting time. DO NOT TAKE HER.

Her class is not bad at all. She offers pre-writes for every essay you turn in (extra credit), and you are guraenteed an A if you just follow her exact directions. For exams, just write down exactly what she tells you in lecture. I would definitely reccommend her for an easy A

Dr. P is a very disheveled teacher. She does not give very clear instructions, and makes many errors in prompts and handouts. One page paper per week, very easy once you understand what she wants. Tests you can regurgitate lectures and you'll do fine. All in all, aside from her temper, she offers a very passable class. I would take her again.

She is insane. She can't write a sentence in an e-mail and she yells at people in class for no reason. I have over 100% in this class and I still wouldn't recommend anyone else taking her. She was nuts. Would flip out at any point. 1 page paper every week, which is pretty easy. Must have exact margins and even paragraphs or she takes points off. Shes like a volcano-still & silent, then w/ no warning, becomes a raging flood of molten fury. DONT BE LATE, DO THE HW (easy and 1/2 your grade), READ ALL EXAM INSTRUCTIONS, and you'll do just fine. Got a D on the 1st exam along w/ the whole class bcuz nobody understood her instructions & she wont answer questions during exams, but ended up w/a B+

Don't be bothered or intimidated by her dry and frank personality on the first day of class. She does that to weed out the underacheivers and slackers. Lots of writing, but she tells you what you need to know for everything. A little effort = A!

a one page doubled space essay about one a week, very easy. You can turn in a prewrite, which guarentees 100% on the essays. Two midterms which are essays. She gives you the essay topics before, so you can prepare and they are the exact same on the test. The final is like the midterm. Not a lot of reading. Random lectures, don't have 2 go to class.
