Great Professor. As long as you can tune him out and just take notes from the book you should walk out of there with a solid B. He has never given an A though. Just go to the classes and take long notes. His Exams are really easy as long as you do what it tells you to do. Do not BS it.

P.M. John, he is the most unclear individual you will ever meet in your life. he destroyed my brains with the droning of eventual cosmos or some crap. see if he expanded on the meanings of these ideas that he gave us or didn't just ramble on about stories of his family members or give us a SYLLABUS, then maybe i would have enjoyed the class.

Worst class I've taken here. Long list of bad things about this class....horribly boring, torture if you have it once a week. I dont know how I made it out of there with a C. NEVER TAKE THIS CLASS.

Took him for Asian Phil. It was horrible. The one time he gave us a test he emailed us the week before class and said we were having an exam. Half the class didn't know. He repeated himself every class. Very, very boring. Didn't learn much. Ended up withdrawing because he was completely disrespectful toward me.

First of all, he wasn't even there for the first class. Second, he gave us a syllabus WEEKS into the class, and was upset when we weren't having assignments done. No matter what your interpretation or explanation of horrific readings are he ripes you apart for whatever you say. AWFUL CLASS!!

I was so excited about this class but all you do it read a confusing pretentious BOOK. He is VERY hard to understand. His tests were horrific. The class seems unpassable but he is surprisingly pretty easy..and no attendance policy.

I have him for Phil. of Religion, and he's the worst professor to teach it (if you call what he does teaching). He doesn't provide any background info; you're expected to know everything about every religion out there. There's lots of readings (that only a Harvard graduate would understand) to do.

Dreadful. If you're interested in Asian phil I advise you either take the course w/ a dif instructor or simply pursue it on your own b/c he will only waste your time with unfocused rambling, mediocre & limited reading material, and oversimplified assignments.

His choice of source material is abominable. He prefers to read reviews of philosophers instead of the actual philosophy. He once spent two weeks of class repeating the same story each day. Four classes wasted, hearing the same story four times.

Philosophy of religion is really hard! most of the time you cant understand what the hell he's talking about. he just talks about crap and then will stand there and smile at you for a minute, and then go on to talk about more things you dont understand.
