Comment:

He is such a nice professor and really cares. Going to class is not mandatory because everything is online. Tests are based on the textbook so I recommend getting the book and skimming through the chapters and knowing the definitions.

Comment:

Lecture info was helpful and more detailed but not mandatory to do well on exams. The group project is alright, you choose group and case study on the first day. Exams are straight from the book - 15 questions per chapter, 60-75 questions, about 1 minute per question. Curves per exam, not at the end of semester. Not too hard if you study the book.

4 exams straight from the book so going to class doesnt even matter. One group project and one essay assignment. You NEED the book to pass. Won't drop the lowest test score, each exam is multiple choice and is about 75 questions long, final is non cumulative. His class has a curve to it but its a bit tricky to explain.

took it in summer. 3 group assignments and 3 exams. exams occupied 60% of total grade, but no tripping. The exams material were fully taken from the book, therefore, READ it and you'll ace those exams!

Basically, I stopped going to class after the second exam. 4 exams, group project, some homework, group studies, nothing hard. But do not expect to learn from this professor. He is super nice, I went to some of his office hours & he loves to help. But your best help is the book. Although I stopped going to class, I ended up getting a perfect score.

I loved this prof! He is a great man! Lectures don't have anything to do with the tests so no one every showed for class but he was sad about it so I went. I like him a lot reminds me of my dad lol. Study hard for the tests by reading. 1 group presentation that was very easy. 4 exams, final is non-cumulative. Take him! Class is interesting.

Has 4 tests that are all straight from the book. You need to read the book to pass the class. You can't make good grades on his test by just going over his power points. There's one group project that is equivalent to your first test grade. Make sure to pick a good group because you pick it on the first day of class! Overall a good professor.

OMG. Little knowledge of material, poorly worded tests with no relevance to his lectures. He thinks his jokes are funny and interesting but not at all. His lectures are hard to understand like his unfunny jokes. He embarrasses students. His comments are degrading and demeaning. I would not recommend him. Take another teacher.

Dr. Soni is of the best Marketing lecturers in CSULB. Class is very interesting; 3 tests, 2 group projects. Book is mandatory cause his tests are from test bank, you would have to READ to get a good grade, but he is NOT a tough grader. Dr. Soni is a well-rounded expert in the area of Marketing. You will learn a lot of concepts in Marketing.

He has an accent, but I could still understand him well. His lectures are interesting and he post all of the PowerPoints online. Class isn't mandatory, but I went because he was funny and interesting. The class is based on 4 tests and an oral presentation with no extra credit. You need the book to study for the tests. I would take him again.

Nice teacher & He can be funny too. Exams can be hard, if you don’t study. No study guides. Attendance is not mandatory, but I find it helpful. 4 exams, 1 assignment and 1 group work. They’re not too hard.

Great professor! Showing up to class isn't required but it's really helpful! He does use the book as a basis for his tests but he teaches most of the things in there in class. Don't rely on the slideshows on BeachBoard alone! Those are just basic points in the book. He explains it more thoroughly in class. Great class and I recommend it!

Professor Soni is one tough professor. He really makes you work for your grade. If you work hard in his class, not only will you receive a good grade, but you will be armed with analytical skills from both a marketing and financial point of view. Highly recommended professor.

This is one of the easiest business classes I have ever taken! The secret to getting an automatic A is simple, READ THE BOOK! And I mean read, not just skim, read every chapter front to back, and I guarantee you will get an A in this class! His tests are based ENTIRELY on the book, you don't even have to show up to class to get an A!!

hes a really nice guy. but his tests are very general. its hard to study for. each test covers 5 chapters of information, each chapter being 50 txt book pages or so. and the questions are like "which country is the richest country?" i would LOVE to see where that fact is stated in the text book...

Comment:

Marketing is my major, however this class is fairly difficult. It is nearly impossible to get an A, most people end up with B's in the class. Nobody shows up to class because exams are ALL from the textbook. He is a good lecturer though.
