Dr. A is incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to materials. Be ready to put the time in, and having a solid understanding of chemistry really helps during the course. Visit office hours every week, and expect quite a bit of red ink on anything you hand in, he expects excellence and buys red ink by the barrel.

I'll summarize. Challenging class, harsh professor, you'll get a lot of bad grades. It will be stressful but you will learn a lot if you pay attention. Study a lot , talk to other people in the class, and try to keep your cool. You'll make it even if it looks like you'll fail. Just take it seriously, show effort, and be respectful to the prof.

Overall this class was very challenging If you spend 6 hours a day studying you will pass the class. It won't come easily but with hard work and you will succeed. For bonus point talk about the Pitsburg Steelers, he loves them!

Didn't finish, had to drop for personal reasons. Dr. A. is highly demanding yet cryptic about expectations. Every moment of the course was a waking nightmare. However, he's not a bad dude- just a genius that works on a different level than us plebs. Read EVERYTHING, visit him in his office, and refer to him as "Dr. A." or "Sir," and you'll live.

Ask questions on everything. Even if you know the answer, you don't. Ask about format.

You can't avoid taking him and he's not a bad guy. If you work hard and show him your making an effort (see him in his office) he won't fail you. The exams are ridiculous. It'll just be not a very fun semester.

Dr. A basically requires perfection in everything. His exams are impossible, his assignments are impossible, his term paper is impossible. Basically you will live in fear and fail everything the entire semester, and at the end most people will pass. He is helpful if you talk to him during his office hours, but you must treat him with respect.

Pay close attention to the formatting of the documents he provides and replicate it. Try to follow the formatting of his manuscript and make sure to have page numbers and use 1.5 spacing. Forget MLA or APA and learn the citation method known as Dr. A. Have him look over all assignments during his office hours. Hang on for the ridicule ride.

Expects perfection, doesn't care what people think of him or about students. Don't be late, miss class, or knock on his door when its not his office hours. Tests are too long and very difficult.

Comment:
He possesses an exacting personality. He will not reward what he considers mediocre work, the problem with that is that he isn't clear about what constitutes mediocre work. He grades papers for spelling and grammar as well as technical correctness. If your grammar is a bit antiquated like mine you'll be marked down every time. Very demeaning.

I wish i could go back in time and tell myself not to take this class. If he doesn't like you, you will fail. It is that simple. He should not be teaching grad students let alone second year students trying to decide if they want to be engineers. this is not someone who inspires minds but rather hobbles them.

Grades grammar and structure, but repeatedly has worse errors in his own. Will always talk down to you like you are a lesser being. Scoring on homework and tests is very cryptic; only provides a small question mark here and there, but still get 60%.

Makes the class impossible. Everyone fails throughout the semester and if he likes you he'll pass you at the end of the semester. Uses his own book. Does not want to be your friend.

Dr. Anyalebechi is by far the hardest teacher i've ever had. He expects perfection from the students, and in class is not helpful. The only way to really learn is to take full advantage of his office hours, where he will review your work and clear things up. Also do not bother buying the textbook, he only uses the one he wrote.

This teacher is the best, very hard but will teach you the most that wil stay with you in your career. Everyone hates him because he is hard but in fact that is what makes him the best. Engineering is suppose to be hard!
