PM is boring. She seems to have the opinion that bc you are a student you cannot possibly have an educated opinion. Also, she doesn't allow students to disagree with her opinions. Easy class, as others have said. Just sitting in class listening to her lecture made me mad as hell. Also everything is group-based, which sucks and is pointless.

Prof. Moylan is the sweetest woman ever! Her lectures are long, but they are actually pretty interesting if you listen. I don't suggest bringing a laptop because you can learn so much from her. She focuses a lot on the human rights aspect of history. Participation is 30% and the grading was fair so expect a pretty easy A.

She's a really kind lady, but MY GOD I could not stand listening to her feminist views every class. As one of the only guys in class, it got uncomfortable a lot. Be sure to bring a laptop or smart phone to class because you will get bored. Plus side: class was not difficult and most of the reading was thought provoking. Would recommend for seminar.

Lectures tend to be a little boring. No matter the subject, be prepared to get the feminist view, even if it's only a little relevant to the rest of the class. But she does seem to care a great deal about the subject and her students. She definitely seems to promote a communal learning experience, so expect lots of group work. Would recommend.

Professor Moylan was a great help all semester. Class was a little dry, yes, but assignments were easy, essays were no problem, and tests were a breeze. I, who have no interest in history whatsoever, really found this class to be very very easy.

Extremely boring. But worth it for the grade you'll get. Grades really easily on essays. Just give the tinest bit of effort that you can and it's an easy A+.

This lady is so boring it's funny. What's also funny is how easy the class is and how infrequently it's necessary to go. I couldn't ask for an easier history class. The class was "history of human (and women's) rights" more so than "global history since 1500" but do the little work there is and you will have yourself no less than an A-

The class is really boring. You do a lot of work in groups which means you sit and talk with your group most of class. If you have a fun group, the class isn't bad. I hardly have done anything and have around an A-. Grades essays easily. Easy class if you are willing to be bored.

Professor Moylan was amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable, has amazing life experiences and will change the way that you think. For the people who don't believe history has anything to do with gender/women's studies I suggest taking a women's studies class and learning real history - something not from a white male perspective.

This class is not going to be a history class where you learn about actual past events, it is about womens rights and globalization. It is out of 100 points. 40 are for participation and 15 are from completing 30 hours of community service. the rest are from several short papers and one long paper.Do well on the papers because the lowest A is a 93

One of the worst classes I have ever had. The assignments had nothing to do with the actual class, except to waste what could have been productive time. Made all the changes she recommended in my final paper, added several pages and dropped a whole letter grade. And I'm not the only one this happened too.

She definitly wasn't the most exciting teacher I've ever had. She's a bit of an old hippie, so grading wise she was pretty easy. I put minimal effort on my first several papers and I still got good grades. Furthermore, she has you buy books that you really don't need to read...if you can find the books used, do.

Extremely nice and well-meaning lady but, DAMN. So horrendously, painfully boring. As dry as old toast. Sometimes it became so silent during class "discussion" that I swear I could hear people blinking. Plus, the fact that 291 is the most pointless class ever formulated at LUC didn't help the situation. I say this as a friend: don't take PM.

This was by far the most boring and pointless history class I have ever taken, mostly because of the professor. The readings were painfully long, boring, and totally irrelevant to the course. Writing a paper seemed like a good idea, but the extra readings that she gives you do not allow for you to spend enough time on the paper. Do Not Take Her!

She turned what could have been a wonderfull history class into a crappy feminist class with some history pretences. I hated going to this class and maxed out of of the amount of abasences eary on. Ambigous throughout the class and on top of it doesn't check sources, at all. Oh and magis classes suck if you don't know what they are.

I have her for global hist since 1500. the name is entirely false. all you learn is about feminism, civil rights stuff. but i will admit- this is the easiest freakin' class considering you don't mind 30 hrs. communty service and one research paper. don't do any of the readings you won't need it. (save money) easy A... (you can fake the 30 hrs...)
