This guy is great. He's a big fan of writing out the notes by hand on the whiteboard, and he's ancient (probably 70+ years old), but everything is extremely straightforward. He gave us the choice between open- or closed-book exams, with the former being super easy and the latter hard. Needless to say he wasn't kidding when he said it would be easy.

Sometimes hard to understand his writing (and occasionally speaking). Examples were sometimes hard to follow, and he often displayed ancient, twice scanned, pictures of mineral processing technology. Overall seemed like a decent prof though.

Good prof extremely helpful via email, i never went to his office hours. He would answer emails at 2:00 am morning before midterm and finals. Assignments are very similar to exam type questions. Textbook was useless. NEED to atttend lectures as no posted notes or examples. Only 4 labs relatively easy wants reports in form of memo. Reccomend

This guy rules so hard. Be prepared for sacrificing some binder space - he's a fan of the handouts. This is a good thing because there's virtually no notes, and when there is they are completely organized by section, sub-section headings.
