Qi is a very good professor. A little hard to understand at first but you get used to it by the second week of class. The first half of OOPS 1 is difficult, but he really helps you out with bonus points the second half, but only if you show up to class. The slides contain a lot of hints about the current program due. Really enjoyed this class!

Mr. Yang demonstrates an adept understanding of programming and computer science, but like many other elderly teachers I have encountered, he experiences a disconnect from modern technological knowledge and usage, preferring the use of the technology that he learned on over any newly accessible tech. Expect to work hard on your own in order to pass

Eh, the teacher was okay. Sometimes I wished that it was a little bit more clear because it always seemed like the power points were made like 10 minutes before class sometimes. So class was more like "okay, let's just get through these slides and make as much sense as we can from them."

I've had him for several classes. He has an accent, but its not too bad. If you go in and ask for help he will take the time to help you. Although attendance isn't mandatory, your grade will take a nosedive if you miss his CS 334 class (it moves quickly).

Very helpful prof, he does have a slight accent, but it is easy to get past. Plus he is very good about communicating via e-mail, where the accent is irrelevant. He makes class fun, can even poke fun at himself too, makes the material very easy to digest, and has a nice balance between lecture and practice. If you put effort in, you will succeed.

Quite an accent, but you get used to it's plain English once you figure it out. He makes the class funny and interesting for everyone. Powerpoints are easy to follow and they're available online if you miss class. I would not recommend skipping class, though. There is still a lot of material and program hints he gives out to those who are listening

He really explains things thoroughly, giving you assignments and quizes that depend on what you just learned, and instructing you on the next step that is built on the previous. Very clear! He has a little Chinese accent but he doesn't talk a lot so what he does say, you pay attention to. He is serious about teaching but also has a sense of humor.

Very laid back guy. He remains calm and has good notes. Accent but still pretty easy to understand. Everything is on powerpoint, but it works out good and is combined with lots of small quizes and labs that are not difficult. Tests are the only thing that are hard. Always helps out when you go his office with a question, doesnt leave you hanging.

Accent tough at first, gets easy to understand with time. Teaches better than any comp sci teacher ive had, but i allready knew it going into the class. Class is generally about 40 min long. Quizzes every friday.
