Comment:

Tran is difficult to understand given his heavy accent. Every lecture was straight from the book, and so were the tests and quizzes. However, he does need work on focusing on Ch. 4 and 5 because they are the most important chapter for this class. I would only recommend this class for independent learners.

Possibly the worst teacher I've ever had. I've attended all classes and yet I haven't learned much of anything new from him. The textbook teaches better. He usually gets mad at you for asking questions or he'll blow you off. Majority of the time it's like him teaching himself. NEVER taking a class with him ever again.

Dont want to be rude, but he teaches way to fast, accent was harsh, and he does not follow his study guide for tests. No hw if you take workshop, but he gives hw if you dont go to any workshop. His examples for math problems are way to easy and straight from the book so the test problems were difficult. I learned math more off youtube than him!

He goes really quick through his lectures and sometimes he does not understand our questions, yet we do not understand him as well. He makes some mistakes while lecturing, but only sometimes someone would catch it and prove him wrong. Overall, he is an alright teacher but I would not suggest him as a professor for a difficult subject like calculus.

This man sure does not receive the full respect he deserves! Yeah, he has a thick accent but he makes that up by showing you step by step how to solve each math problem. He's a cheerful man who makes sure you pass math successfully. Just take the time to be patient and understanding because he sure does the same for his students!:)

This man deserves way more credit than he's getting. He's an EXCELLENT teacher! He goes over simple algebra because that's where MOST students mess up. (Like me!) Sure he has an accent and at times is hard to understand, but math is a language of its own.If this man taught math in Vietnam, he'd be praised by all of his students.

He's a good teacher but hard to understand. His accent is thick but you kinda get used to it as time goes on. But at the same time its like he doesnt understand the class either. like you have to repeat things for him, which can lead to him just ignoring you or making up his own interpretation :-/

He was a very good teacher although he had a very thick accent. It was hard to understand the first few times but eventually you'll get used to it. He usually asks students to work out an example on the board to get a better understanding. Come to his review sessions cuz he gives similar questions on the test!
