I had the hardest time with this class. I did the readings, took detailed notes, but for some reason I just could never get the answer he wanted precisely. I found he gave more opinions than facts. He's an ok guy, just not the kind of professor for someone who isn't so much into social sciences.

Took Men and Masculinities with him. It was an interesting topic most of the time, def. could get boring. Expectations are clear and obvious. Do the homework -it can get tedious-, go to class, participate, and you'll do fine. He's a cool guy with some thought provoking insights.

Lectures can get boring at times, but material is interesting. He is really educated on the topics he teaches, which is helpful. No tedious notes to copy down, just class discussions. You have to go to class and you have to do the reading, but it's not a lot. There are a couple short questions to do once a week and a quiz. Great professor & class.

This professor, Is quite liberal, he has openly tried to sway my presidential 08 vote by telling me that I should not vote for a candidate because he thought that he was a war hawk. He is teaching about the Iraq war during the war. He does not teach what the course is supposed to be. It is a course about cultures and he taught about capitalism.

Go to class. It makes life so much easier. he gives a quiz based on reading or class once a week.The mid term and finals are take home, and theres one paper about social hierachry that you create from your own opinion with financial facts.

Reeves is a good professor and a good guy. he's very passionate about what he teaches, and really expects a lot out of his students. He's a tough grader, but gives you the opportunity to ask questions so you know exactly what he expects. My only complaint was that he repeats a lot of information, but in way that helped me remember.

HORRIBLE professor. Completely unclear expectations for papers. He failed more than 3/4 of BOTH classes i took with him. Class will bore you to tears, which is unfortunate cause sometimes the topic is interesting. Unrealistic expectations, and RUDE and unhelpful when you ask. Lots of $$$ textbooks!!
