Dr. Lifson tries to be very helpful. This class was extremely easy, and I never paid attention...EVER. However, I ended up getting a B out of the class, because the test are so easy. This class will NOT prepare you for PSY 285 unless you're a SPSS/Statistic genius already.

DO NOT TAKE HER FOR 211. She's very condesending, and all she does is repeat herself and go over things that are NOT anywhere to be found on the exams. Even the study guides in the workbook aren't all that helpful. If you can take anyone else for 211, I highly, highly suggest it.

Dr. Foster-Lifson should not be teaching anymore. She's very forgetful and can't understand questions that students ask in class. Attending class is pointless becuause she just reads off powerpoints that are included with the textbook. If you want an easy A in stats, then I'd recommend her, but if you want to succeed in PSY 285, STAY AWAY.

She is super nice and really entertaining, 211 wasn't bad and she is always willing to help and answer questions. However taking 211 with her will NOT prepare you for PSY 285 AT ALL. I wouldn't recommend her

Tough exams every two weeks. Not only is attendance not mandatory, it isn't really necessary aside from exam days - her lectures mainly consist of her reading her powerpoints and does little to include the class in the lectures. One term paper due also.

This woman DRIVES ME NUTS! She races through the lectures and just repeats what is on her notes. I can read! There is almost no point in even going. She thinks her opinion is always right...whatever she says, goes! Very biased! Seems to act like she knows everything which is annoying. She doesnt give us our tests back either to look at :( Crummy!!

She might try to force you to change your position on psychology which I think is inappropriate. Biased toward women in the history of psychology which is OK, but biased nonetheless. She's nice but a little crazy. Class really isn't interesting, but she does give some tidbits on psychology history more interesting than the usual boring blah blah

E-mail her at the addy she gives. Pay close attention and don't slack off. I've never really had issues with math and i lost my footing big time around midterm time cuz i did well and slacked. You have to make sure you pay attention or you'll lose it. She's great fun though, totally spacey at times...but entertaining!

Don't take this class w/her if you struggle w/math. She tends to jump around in lecture, which made it hard to grasp material. She goes off on tangents when half the class is struggling with the material. Do not go to her office hours because there is a chance she will tell you her brain is not working that day and therefore is unable to help you.

I love love love psych. but this class was horrible. I honestly went to EVERY class and studied for approx. 20 hours for each test and was lucky to get a 70% and I'm an "A" student! You study her notes and read all there is to read, but her questions are impossible! Very hard to get an "A". Blek.

I was really impressed with her understanding and attempts to motivate students...I'm taking a few classes I don't really need, just to be in another class she instructs. Take 211 with her, and don't be afraid of it...I suck at basic math, but she made it really easy!
