Rachel genuinely cares not only about the subject matter but her students to an absurd degree. She is as excited about learning new ways of making subject matter exciting and kept me interested in subjects that could quickly get boring. That being said, I really had to work to understand microbiology.

Rachel is very passionate about microbiology but she has transitioned to full active learning and it is not very effective. Lots of outside "homework" with group work in class that is irrelevant. Almost all learning is done out of class on your own.

Rachel is an amazing professor. She cares deeply for her students and she is always willing to go the extra mile to help. She is very accommodating and flexible. She is a professor who strives for students to deeply learn the subject. Her exams and assignments rarely require mere memorization. She's tough, incredibly kind, and a kick a** professor.

Awesome experience. An extremely knowledgeable and passionate instructor who wants nothing more than for her students to succeed. This class was difficult and required a significant effort put forth to attain a good grade. That said, you WILL learn something if you pay attention and work for it.

Rachel is probably my favorite professor thus far here at UW. She somehow manages to always explain micro in an understandable way. If you can pass biology, you can pass this class. She just expects you to work for it and give it your best but the way she teaches and gets to know everyone makes you want to do well too. She's amazing!

Rachel is probably one of my most favorite professors. She genuinely loves what she teaches, which translates well in her lectures. She is always willing to meet up with the students for additional questions and concerns. Rachel is just amazing. Her classes take a lot of work but you will have learned a tremendous amount afterwards.

Rachel is awesome! She is so helpful and she loves her job so much thats its inspiring. She is always there to help, and she is always on your side. She will always do everything to help you, like pushing back homework due dates back, or even exam dates. And if you put in a little extra work she will reward you with a ton of extra credit.

Rachel is one of the nicestand most amazing teacher I have ever met. She is extremely caring and legitimately wants all her students to succeed. If you have troubles, you can definitely rely on her. However, her classes are not easy and demand work. She also helps students to save money by not relying on textbooks. Her nerdy jokes are the best!

Rachel is brilliant, really. She gets very passionate about her job and her subject, and she tries her best to get everyone involved and excited about science, too. The lab is a lot of work, and time-consuming, but for science majors it's a must-do for basic techniques and methodology. She's the best professor I've had yet, hands down.

HW and exams are incredibly difficult, she says she is making it like the MCAT. you rely on extra credit points, and EC opportunities. Lab is a drag. Her lingo is not professional but a lot of people like that. This class is also ALOT of work. Should be worth 6 credits based on workload. If want easy take MED MICRO
