Great professor. Must do readings and pay attention in class. If you take more than one class with him, you'll hear the same stories multiple times, but he is a funny guy. I learned so much and recommend his courses!

Here's a tip...stake out your seat in the front of the classroom. It will make it easier for you to understand him with his accent. He randomly calls on people to talk about the subject at hand. Don't forget to read the assigned readings!!! He seems to have radar to call on you, if you haven't read the assigned reading.

Once you figure him out, he is really an easy prof. Talk a lot in his class and you will get an A. He doesnt like some oppinions, so you can get into some heated debates, but he seems to like students who do this. He is also pretty funny, and adorable... Once you get past the accent, he is great!

He was awesome! I took him term 2 and term 3. I highly recommend both of his term 3 courses. I went into each course not knowing what to expect and enjoyed all of them. I wasn't too into Asian until I took the class and discovered that it really is interesting. I wish i needed more nonwestern courses, he's so good.

Very bad experience. Ahmed is **** and ignorant. He often laughed at female students who expressed opinions. Texts did not support the topic - in class about Islam, we read NOTHING from the Koran. Tests and papers were awarded A's if they expressed his opinions but not facts.
