The class is by far one of the best I have taken at Penn State. You need to attend to do well and you need to take good notes. He is really easy once you figure out what he will test for but his questions can be odd at times. His handwriting is also pretty bad so don't be afraid to take pictures or have a friend to cross reference notes with.

He gives tests and no homework. So, if you fail a test you don't have anything other than a couple other tests to pull your grade up.

He seems very intimidating at first; he makes his classes seem horrifyingly difficult during the first class, but he and his class are really not that scary. Listening to his lectures and attending classes is necessary to pass, but as long as you show up, take good notes, and do the problem sets, there's no reason you can't do well and learn a lot.

His tests seemed very unfair, containing a lot of underhanded and intentionally tricky questions where he'd get you on a technicality. English isn't his first language, so the wording on many test questions was unclear. He's a funny guy, and comes off as rather abrasive at first, but you'll learn to like him. If you miss class, he'll fail you.

This guy is a teaching BEAST. I mean he lectured at the World Bank in D.C. He is strict but he's also mostly joking about it. Honestly i've learned more about how our country operates in this class than any other. I would recommend him 10/10. However book not used (he wrote the book), and is pretty tough, but if you want your moneys worth take him.

He goes through his lectures very fast, it is hard to keep up with him. He also isn't the most helpful professor, When I asked for help he told me to ask the student whom got the highest grade on the test.

Dr. Mookerjee was my first college experience. And once you figure out when he's kidding "he's a nice guy" he curves, he drops lowest scores. You DO NOT need the book. Everything is from lecture. Eat before class cause he talks about food a lot. He expects you to be a diligent student and if you are you'll have fun. Don't and you will get an F

This was my first class (Intro to Macro Economics) in economics and I liked it enough to take Micro Economics and later Money and Banking. He made the class interesting and used many examples from current events. I took this class in 1984 at Northeastern.

I loved this class. He was sarcastic but still fun and he helped me out quite much. If you try hard and ask questions a lot, go to his office, and participate in class, he'll know it :)

I had Dr Mookerjee in 02/03. Took macroeconomics, enjoyed the class so much I worked micro into my schedule for the spring. I can still here "what is this ozone hole over here, where is everybody?". He would stroll in, get to the front, class still unruly, "and the noise continues unabated". Taught class using chalk on a board. Best classes I had.

He is very informative/interesting. BUT he is the perfect definition of a professer that is out to screw with you. If you learn through asking questions and working to grasp things, don't take his class. No critical thinking just memorize what he says. He could write a book but as far as teaching he has little concern for his students

The class was very difficult and I took A LOT of notes. However, if you study often and attend every class you should do ok in this class. You should also be able to learn in a class taught by only lectures.

He is very funny in class, he seems intimidating at first but once you realize he is sarcastic than hes hilarious! He knows exactly what he is talking about. He pretty much lectures from memory. His tests are decently hard but not impossible. Best professor i've had in regards of learning.

Dr. Mookerjee was difficult for me. No use of the textbook was the reason I struggled a ton in his class. Tests were extremely difficult. I would not say to take him unless you do good with lecture only based classes

Best Prof I have ever had, including so far at University Park. Way too smart to be stuck at Beaver. His exams are hard, but if you go to every class and pay attention, review the notes, and ask questions, an A is not too hard to get. Funny guy, personable too. Dont buy the book, he is a walking book.
