Don't take his online classes. His quizzes are incredibly difficult and worded terribly. His lecture videos are useless and for most chapters wayy to long. Assignments are difficult and confusing with horrible directions. I graduate next semester my GPA is overall 3.3 and this class is screwing me over. Taking other online courses no problem. AVOID

I took this course online and for each chapter we had 4 assignments and then a quiz. They weren't hard to complete, but he would sometimes wait until the day before they were due to make them available, so you have to stay on-top of checking online. I have probably sent him 5 emails throughout the semester and hen ever once emailed me back.

Gulati is an overall great professor but his lectures are very dry. You are graded on a few chapter quizzes, which I find to be a little tricky with the wording, and one term paper. I would recommend taking him as a professor but make sure you pay attention to the lectures and look a the chapter overviews. Term paper is super easy!

Comment:
Mr. Gulati needs to alter his style to engage his students. He would often get angry with students that offered differing opinions than he had. His behavior made students not want to participate in his "motivating" lectures. Very knowledgeable but his arrogance is evident in his teaching style. I personally did not appreciate his hard nose style

He is an amazing guy! People in the class have a love hate relationship with him because they think he is "boring" but if you show you are actually paying attention and follow his no cell phone rule he will respect you. He really cares about his students succeeding you just need to take the time to be involved in class.

He's not a bad professor by any means. Yes, sometimes he is not clear on what he wants in some assignments and yes he can get confusing, but he has very flexible office hours and encourages you to stop by all the time. You'll get what he wants if you go to those. No tests, just group quizzes and a couple of assignments which are pretty easy

No tests, just mostly group quizzes. Pay attention and you'll do good. Didn't even open my textbook. His lectures can get long but they're pretty interesting if you have any interest in market research. Good prof, knows what he's doing.

I personally think Gulati was a great professor. If you ACTUALLY talk to him, he will never lead you astray. Study from the book (and slides)and the tests are cake-walks. If you pay attention, you'll be fine. It's not that difficult.

Worst professor ever. Class is awful. Also had him for an advisor. He is clueless. I ended up going to pre-business office when I needed help. Met with him before last 4 semesters. Then before my final semester he tells me I'm 6 credits short to graduate. Waste of space at this university.

This professor, along with Oyedele, is the worst in the Herberger Business School! The group project is explained the last month of the semester and is incredibly time consuming and confusing. He is impatient when students ask questions and seems to just show up to get paid. Avoid!!

Terrible Professor DO NOT TAKE HIM... Tests are garbage and do not reflect what is covered in class and does not help you on the project at the end of the semester. Takes forever to get grades back to you and does not update D2L ever. Never in his office during office hours. Worst Professor I have ever had. (Senior) DO NOT TAKE.

By far the worst professor in the Marketing dept at SCSU. His lectures are pointless and don't lead anywhere. His tests have the worst format ever. He gives you group work with less than a week for a deadline and doesn't explain how to do them and then he talks to you like you're an idiot when you ask him about it. If possible don't take him.

Taken fall 2012. 4 Tests, pop quizzes about every other week. Random attendance checks, but not mandatory. Super boring class. One project 10% of your grade. Not an easy, class would take someone else if possible. Tests come with study guides. No homework. drink coffee is you take his morning class
