I found Ralph to be very funny. He's straight forward and can be fairly blunt with the students, but he does so in a humourous and helpful way. He made chemistry lab enjoyable to attend.

He retired half way throught he semester because his wife got extremely ill. He was a great Lab teacher, very clear, and I wish he was still teaching. Hope he is doing well.

Excellent lab instructor! Very great instructor, uses humor to get students to understand lab concepts of chemistry. He believes that most chemistry is taught in lecture, so he taught mostly lab concepts...I'd definitely recommend taking him for any Chem labs you need!

I found him to be one of the most fun, interesting, and educated instructors I think I've had for any science related class I've taken. His testing and teaching methods were fun and made you remember the material...he believed the theory was taught in lecture...anyway, I recommend him!

I liked Asbury. He's taught chem for many yrs and knows his stuff.I found him to have a laid back and easy going personality. The only test we took was the final. also, periodically he collected some homework. it was his feeling that most of chem was taught in lecture so he focused on labs.
