Comment:

Professor Burr knows Stats inside and out. He has a very dry, sarcastic personality and has no patience for those who ask "basic" questions on topics he has already covered. The 3 tests are graded on a curve and open note, and the final is open notes and book. Homework is not overwhelming and he goes over EVERYTHING thoroughly (for the most part).

Must come to class or you'll be lost. Take notes, fill up your sheet used for the tests(I MEAN FILL UP EVERY INCH) and do the homework & goals. He's a very clear grader, bit snippy if you're lost. Open book/notes cumulative final, very fair. 3 tests, 1 final and a review paper(3-4 pages in your own words). He's very organized & quick with grading.

Prof Ralph was recommended to me by two other students. Imagine taking a class from your dad--that's the type of sense of humor he has and he also cares a lot about the success of each one of his students. Saw that I was really struggling and made sure I was aware of all the resources available to help me succeed. Excellent teacher and human being.

This teacher is genuinely funny. All you do in class is laugh. He try to be mean first day of class just to scare you but he's awesome. HW 1x a wk & gives answer to half of it. HW are on the tests. Allow 1 pg note during test. Answer all Q in study guide &bring it to the test and you'll get A. Curves grade. 1 easy research paper as xtra cr. Got A

He makes stat class fun. Genuinely funny. He repeats topic over and over until stick in your head. Whatever he writes on board will be on test. One page back to back notes allowed during exam. Statistics is not easy. Pretty boring subject. However Professor Burr made it easier possible. If you understand the homework and you follow the goals that he gives you the first day of class you'll get an A. FOLLOW THE GOALS! DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Participation is not fundamental, but don't miss class!

This guy knows the textbook like a pastor knows the bible. He will literally cite the page and chapter as part of his answer each time you ask him a question. Totally agree with the unique sense of humor. Some people were offended because he can come off rude but try to be open minded. Allows a page of notes on each exam so MAKE SURE TO COPY THE HW

Professor Ralph is a GREAT professor. Statistics is not easy, period. Prof Ralph makes it as easy as possible for students. He is VERY clear, and he actually lectures, instead of putting power point and reading off of it. If you want to learn for real stats and want a great teacher, followed by good grades (with your own effort), take his class

Ralph has an extremely rare and refreshing teaching style. His awesome dry humor helps ease the scary idea of statistics. He is very clear about what is needed and is EXTREMELY helpful! Will work through every step with you no matter how long it takes. Breaks the information down to a comprehendible level. HIGHLY recommended!

At first seemed intimidating and had moments of rudeness, but he was willing to help. Class made up of weekly homework, a short paper, 3 tests, and final. Don't have to attend class, but recommended. Paper is easy A, just follow instructions.If you have issues, visit the tutoring center. Kirk's help guaranteed my grade.

He is very straightforward what he wants from you. He allows one full page of notes for tests. The Final is open notes/book. Don't be intimidated by his demeanor on the first day of class. He has a unique sense of humor, which you will catch on later in the semester. He assigns one paper , which is an easy A. Overall, it's a pretty easy class.

Professor Burr is a straight forward guy. It's simple: take notes in class, do the homework, study for the tests and you'll do great! He will tell you what's on the tests, the final is open book/notes. I wouldn't suggest missing any class cause you'll fall behind. I didn't read the book at all, just listened during lecture. But you'll need the book

I was dreading Statistics but this class was very cool! Much of the homework is on the test. Make sure you understand the goals. I think Professor Burr made it as easy and understandable as possible. He lets you use a page of notes on tests! Go to every class or you'll be lost! Highly recommended!

This class was a joke. I never opened the book. I never spent more than 5 minutes per week on homework. I barely paid attention in class. I aced every test and got an A in the class. You can use notes on the tests! It's so easy. Take this class with this professor for an easy A without learning much

If your scared of Stats you need to take it from this man. I LOVED this class, it was actually FUN. And I am not a math person. Material is challenging but if you use the book do all the hmk and take notes(not excessive) you'll get an A no problem. You really need to have the book for this class and never skip, because it's not easy catching up.

He is a very nice teacher with a great sense of humor, even though he seems strict in the beginning. He is willing to help students. Exams are exactly same as his homework. Reading the book, doing and knowing hw, going to the lectures and highlighting what he says important guarantee A. I really enjoyed his class. Highly recommend.
