This has been one of my favorite classes. He's very smart and makes class interesting. He dances sometimes! Even though it was at 8:30 in the morning, I actually enjoyed the class and the material. Great Teacher.

Ralphy IS a nerd, yes--but he keeps class exciting. GO TO THE STUDY SESSIONS. BIG impact on your grade. Textbook is easy to read &he gives bonus! He DOES give random clicker quizzes4attendance so GO TO CLASS! I barely look over the material and I have a borderline B+/A-.Ralph is the best JRL teacher here, so take him, because he's awesome.

He's way too hyper for an 8:30am class. His tests were hard. He gave us a study guide, but it didn't help on the tests. The only C I ever got in college! Horrible class!!

All these other comments are for Jrl. 101, which is really kind of a simple class. Dr. Hanson's higher classes are intense, but extremely beneficial to anyone who cares about the subject. Attendance is a must, but he isn't a total hard-ass about it. Essay grading is critical but very helpful and fair. You receive what you put into his classes.

exams are pain in the ass...i did studied the book whole night and still got a C...so tricky...better watch out for that...assignments are easy and easy to bring your grades up! no attendance taken it is good if you have him 8:30 in the morning..

He's extremely annoying when u have him at 830 am. His tests are really hard. But the homework assignments are really easy. Extra Creidt is offered too. The tests are what kill ya, so theres ALOT of reading to be done! By the end of the semester u'll never want to hear his voice again, his jokes are annoying too!!

The papers you have to write are easy and he offers some extra credit, but the exams are hard. He does keep his lectures interesting and even funny sometimes. Do good on the papers and extra credit and decent on the Exams and you'll get an A.

He may be corny, but that's part of his charm! Dr. H breathes life into what could be a stale subject. He's an expert in his field, but always explains things in simple terms, with plenty of helpful examples. He's very clear about what he expects..the tests are manageable if you read the book AND take good notes in class. I highly recommend Dr. H!
