Comment:

Dr. Leary's class was truly one of my favorite classes I have taken. He is very passionate about his students and the content of his class. His personality makes the class enjoyable, and he is always willing to help. This class was never one that I dreaded going to, and now that I don't have it I miss it.

Comment:

First of all, he gives no tests. This class is paper-only, & there are only 3 or 4 papers for the entire semester. There was a book, but I found all the readings online so you don't need it, plus they're pretty easy reads (minus the first one). I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Honestly this is probably the only good honors course in CU. 8/10

Dr. Leary is very funny if you like sarcasm but for people who want nothing less than an A he will make you sweat. The way to get an A in this class it to attend EVERY CLASS, take your papers to him during office hours, and use the writing center. I received B's on all my papers but asked him for help on my last one and received an A.

Dr. Leary is a bit out there but honestly his class was one of the most thought provoking and enjoyable classes I had. He is extremely intelligent and snarky so be prepared to get picked on a little especially if you skip class. I highly recommend taking a course with him.

Leary is a decent teacher. I am very unhappy with his inappropriate comments about religion. There were multiple comments about his religion and on numerous occasions he said, "Yeah, and all of your good, church going parents." There is no place for that in this class. He also made light of some situations in texts we read. Easy if you do the work

LOVE HIM! OMG. Not only is he super hilarious and makes this class fun but he is exremley helpful and will take the time to help you in anyway. Greatest part he doesnt believe in books, so you dont need to buy any! If you get the chance take him! I hope I can take him again soon!

I've had Ralph for three classes now, HON 128, 129, and Eng 140. Hands down, he was the most fun in 140 because it was a topic he REALLY cares about. It was one of my favorite classes. Modes isn't as bad as people say, but it is a lot of busy work. He grades very very hard, but his final grades depend a lot on participation.

He was a really great professor. We would have to read the plays before class, hand them in a day before, after that he graded them and handed them back the next day. He was very funny, bouncy, and excited when he teaches. I didn't pick the class but it was great once I got into it. Beware he swears occassionally but I still liked his class.

I LOVE Him! If Shakespeare was taught like this in high school it won't bore us by the time we got to college. I liked that he ACTED out the scenes (hilarious!) and that we read some of the other plays aside from the standards like Romeo & Juliet.
