Comment:
Dr. Ribler is an awesome professor. He's usually available for help, and is a genuinely nice person. Classes are usually some sort of code-along, so keep up! Doesn't assign a lot of readings for classes, but if you really want to comprehend the things you code up in class then you should read the book more and ask questions. Long tests.

He is awesome. The best professor ever. His class is always exciting but you need to get your hand dirty though. I cannot imagine how many hours the professor spent to prepare such highly interactive lessons.

Take this class if you are interested in drawing graphs and geometric shapes in convoluted world coordinates, because that 95% of the focus. Personally, I thought Windows Programming would be so much more than that.

Comment:
Nice guy, but too intelligent to be teaching undergrad. He teaches backwards with an example and expects students to immediately understand the concept. He then gives a quiz/test, realizes no one understands, and only then explains the concept clearly. His tests are also ridiculously hard compared to other CS professors.

Dr. Ribler has a WEALTH of hands-on knowledge (not just book stuff), he's mild mannered, and very good for beginners or experienced CS types. Always willing to discuss any level of any computer science topic, and has a real passion for his work. Tests are well balanced, covering material he teaches: No surprises. Try to get into this guy's class.

This guy is really nice... but his classes tend to be really boring... and the tests are incredibly difficult... his saving grace is that he is always around for extra help... office hours consist of anytime hes not teaching.

A good teacher, but has a hard time explaining things effectively. Thinks everyone is on his level.
