Dr. Willing ham was absent about one-third of the semester, skipping a few days each week. When he was in class, he often instructed his students to memorize charts that we would have to fill out on tests, rather than teaching. He was extremely arrogant, even to the point of referring to opinions that contradicted his as demonic teachings.

He clearly knows his stuff and you can tell he's a smart guy but in lectures he can sometimes fail to get it across to students who don't have as much background information as he does. The quizzes and tests for BNEW are ridiculous and it's 100 percent all memorization

This class will allow you to understand yourself on a deeper level. There is not much action. Only one 30 page paper and a final exam. I would recommend taking the class because you are forced to analyze yourself on a deep level. Don't let the paper intimidate you - do it in small pieces and it is no big deal!

He is the worst teacher I've ever had (and I got an A, this isn't just bitterness). He is incredibly arrogant and thinks his opinions are the only things that matter. Tests are ONLY memorizing lists and facts. If you genuinely want to learn about the Bible or enjoy your class, don't even think about it.

This is by far the most amazing teacher I have ever had! I recommend this class to anyone who wants to apply all their biblical knowledge to the real world. He teaches this class in such a way that you come out prepared to deal in the real world as a knowledgeable follower of Christ. WONDERFUL!!!!!!

Best bible teacher. Had him his first year and it was great, took him every year after that. Very caring and helpful. Tells great stories and actually TEACHES more than most professors. A much more progressive thinker than most other bible professors. very open minded.
