This prof is not your high school teacher. Hes quite sarcastic and very strict. He is inaccessible outside lecture. Whenever you email him, he responds very quick and lets you know that your question was dumb because the answer is on a website from like a billion years ago. At least his tests are easy. Skip class read textbook+slides pass class.

Worst prof I have come across. I had difficulty with a topic and asked him during break and he embarassed me infront of everyone and he was laughing about how I dont know something as simple as that. I thought profs were there to help us?? I was too embarrassed to ask him anything again because I knew he wouldnt help me and would embarrass me

Rares Pateanu is full of himself and has little concern for his subject or his students. You have to kiss up to him to get a good mark. He pretends to know the subject matter however it is just that - pretending. I got very little value during my participation in his class as he tends to talk about himself and his accomplishments more than teaching

He's a great teacher. Incredibly intelligent when it comes to many subjects. His tales and experiences add some humour to the class. I hope I have him again in the future - he's one of the few profs who I actually enjoy listening to. Plus he has a cool accent.
