I've never had a Professor with such clear outlines and presentations. Incredible professor, highly respected and incredibly nice to all students. There were a lot of assignments, but also lots of extra credit opportunities. Unquestionably one of my favorite professors in my entire college career!!

Dr. sun was a great professor. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and looked for ward to it everyday if you actually try you can get a good grade fairly easily though there is a lot of reading.

Dr. Sun is an awesome professor, definitely one of the best I've ever had. His lectures are easy to follow and very interesting. He works hard to make the material engaging, and almost always succeeds. However, no matter the course level (I had him for 100 and 400 level) there will be A LOT of reading.

GET PROFESSOR SUN IF YOU CAN. He is such a great professor. Very very passionate about what he teaches. He is a history professor that I had for a WSU Honors college class, kind of a lot of reading for the class but he is one of the best professors, if not the best, I've ever had.

Dr. Sun is a very fair person. He listens to his students and does his best to accommodate. He is very nice and easy going but also pushes his students to be their best. I think he is very cool professor. I recommend you take his classes.

I wish more professors had teaching styles similar to Raymond Sun. I wouldn't categorize myself as someone who is particularly into history but his History 105 course has me 100% engaged. He is excited about what he teaches and that excitement is contagious. Take his class!

Wow is all I have to say. I took History 105 with a professor last year and failed because I was sooo bored. Taking History 105 with Dr. Sun has been my favorite class at WSU so far. His lectures have student input and everything he talks about can and will benefit me in life even though I'm a STEM major. WOW. Also he grades fair.

He is a very knowledgeable guy and is generally very enthralling. However he assigns way to much work and he doesn't seem to grade you along the guidelines that he gives you for an assignment.

In my opinion he assigns way too much work. So much that he can't even keep up with grading. We had eight books in addition to the textbook. There is barely enough time to read these, let alone write papers on them. He uses up the entire class time, but doesn't really say much. I could have learned the same things about WWII from reading Wikipedia.

I've taken every World War I and World War II class Dr. Sun teaches, and you would be hard pressed to find a more knowledgeable person to teach these subjects. He does take home tests, but they are long, so put some effort into it. By far my favorite teacher from my time at WSU!

I took this class online where I was able to see him lecture on tapes. Before we all went to this new WEBct format, and I feel lucky. He is a phenomenal teacher. I thought I knew so much about Nazi History, and I came out knowing much more than that. He is what you hope a college professor will be.

At times he can go off into another world and, i.e, confuse Catholicism for Christianity. However, he is very confident and sure in sharing what he thinks and believes. He really knows his history and picks great books for discussion. It would be really hard to sit through a semester of one of his classes, and not get fired up about the issues!

I've taken all of Dr. Sun's classes except Nazi Germany. Engaging, interesting, and fair. All take home tests with a prize to whoever stayed up the longest to get theirs done! :) Highly recommended!
