Holy heck this class was hard. She expects you to remember minute details about the text and her lectures which makes tests impossible to do well on. Never saw someone get an A on one. However, if you HAVE to take her, show up and do the extra credit and put your mind to the paper-which is by far the easiest part. It makes a world of difference.

I would not recommend this professor. Honestly the class material is pretty straightforward but the structure of exams confuses me. It's made 50 times more difficult in an effort to make it more "challenging". I read all the chapters & with open book I was still only able to get in 30's out of 50. Her poor lectures don't help either :(

Um Don't take this class, period. Exams are super difficult and you'll cry yourself to sleep cause it's impossible to get an A. The professor expects you to remember every word from the lecture any of which will show up on the exam and memorize tiny details in the book. This was a life lesson to do proper research on classes before I take them.

Truly horrifying class and professor, easy material for some reason is made 10 times harder which I don't get. Everyone struggles with exams. If you think this is going to be an easy gen-ed please reconsider and take another class. You have to spend all your time studying for a pointless test where questions are from minute details. Don't take.

-Tests are difficult, and they're what gave us a hard time in class. -Test content is random, I don't know where she would get the information from. -Take only if you need it!

Her class was unnecessarily difficult. It's a 100 level class and the material isn't difficult to understand, however, the exams pick at the smallest things in the book. You will pass the class through memory and regurgitation. Just read the book, and jot down notes in her lecture.

This class is deceptively easy. Really just do exactly as she tells you to, write the paper to her specification (no matter how soulless it might be) and study for tests, and you're good. It seems like a lot to do but it's not hard to hit the letter grade threshholds.

4 tests, 1 semester. Several 1 pt. quizzes that don't make a significant difference in grades. Incredibly hard tests because of lack of clarification of material. Makes you guess what is going to be on one test out of 5-7 chapters that are very long and you have to remember what she says in class on the test. Like everyone got a C. AVOID

Professor Lind was a tough Professor. The tests were extremely hard and she expected students to learn 4 chapters and not having a study guide provided was very difficult. She often gets out of topic during her lectures so make sure to listen what you need to listen. The paper is a major part of your grade, so do well in it!

Prof. Lind seemed like a chill person but I wouldn't take her for a class again, I really really did not like how she set up the quizzes and exams. After the first exam I realized that nothing she talked about in the class was on the exam. She wants you to read the book to pass, I did read every chapter and still found the exams extremely difficult

Let me tell you about Professor Lind, her exams are absolutely ridiculous. If you don't read in this class you're done for. She puts the most obscure questions on the exams and then says that we have a lot of "free points" throughout the semester based on attendance & quizzes so you shouldn't worry. Trust me you'll be worrying about your grade.

Professor Lind is actually a spectacular professor! She's very fast paced with her subjects and she does grade hard on tests and papers. But she does care about her students and it's so much better to get advice from her as to what she looks for in her students in order to pass her class. Do your work and ask questions and you'll be fine!

Class is really not that hard if you show up and take notes, especially when she hints at important info you need to write down. She can be a bit of a hard grader, but she also offers extra credit when questions are too difficult and many people get them wrong. Lectures can be boring sometime but she posts them online so if tune out it's okay

Dr. Lind is an expert in her field. She has high expectations for her students, make sure you know the syllabus inside and out. Going to class is just as important as knowing the content in the book. There is one paper that is worth the most points. I would urge everyone to do the first paper. Lind will tell you it is the easiest also and it is!

She doesn't really respect her students, she treats them like little children. Clear grading criteria, very easy class just do the papers. Had very few lectures that were long and boring. Easy A class though.

Prof. Lind is a great woman and for the most part was great at leading interesting classes. On the other hand, she is an EXTREMELY hard grader and has no pity if you mess up a little. Her exams are impossible and she gives little help on the term papers. If you don't want to cry over COMM 103 every night, try to take a different professor.

I took this class because it was my last semester and I thought it would be an easy course, nope. She is a really hard grader. Her exams are mostly based on the textbook and even though i read every chapter, I would still do terrible on the exams because she takes the smallest little details and puts them on the exam.

She is a great teacher. VERY tough grader. Assignments are based off of textbook reading, so you have to do a LOT of that. Pop quizzes every now and then, just don't miss class. Exams are very hard to pass, not many do. Only one paper, not hard. However she's really funny, energetic, and is always willing to help you. BUY THE BOOK!

Honestly most of the people that complained about this class being so hard were most likely too lazy to do the work. You MUST read the book if you want to pass the class, and you MUST do a lot of studying. She is very repetitive in her lectures and likes to talk a lot. However she is a very nice and positive person, and will answer any questions.
