I had Prof. Moore for Rels390A as well, and I enjoyed having her as my professor for both courses. She is hilarious, and very passionate about teaching. She is extremely knowledgable about new religions, and religion in general. Sad that she is retiring, glad to have experienced her teaching.

Really awesome professor. She gives many opportunities for extra credit. There is a lot of reading required, and the reading is not very exciting. I think I would have done a lot better if I had read more. In class is really interesting, and you can tell she has an immense amount of knowledge. You need to put in work, but the class is worth it.

This class has a ton of reading that you must do in order to receive a solid "A". She supplies all of the power points and study guides for the readings that are extremely helpful. 3 exams (essay format: 2 essays from a handful of topics based on the readingsclass notes), 3 papers throughout the semester and 10 reading responses. Not an "easy A".

Professor Moore is very passionate when she teaches and is funny sometimes. You need a bible, she does raffle off a few though to students in the beginning of the semester sometimes. In class partner or group assignments, mini lectures online, Blackboard quizzes & essay exams to show your use of concepts according to the prompt you choose.

She absolutely a great professor. She pretty much knows what she's teaching and she tells you how to get an A on the test (if you really pay attention). There are these mini lectures and quizzes every week she allows you to use the mini lectures and/or the book to pass. To be honest I didn't study the material but still got an A.

Dr. Moore herself is a great teacher, but the class is difficult. Hybrid: Mini-lectures & a quiz every week. Print the lectures out and take notes!! 4 essay "tests" total, and they require a lot of studying! Attendance is not mandatory but most days she passes around a sign in sheet. If you're not willing to work for an A, don't take this class.

To me this class was difficult. There was a lot of reading. She allows extra credit reading every week. There are 3 papers, 3 exams (final being the last). There is no hw other than just reading, reading, and... oh yeah reading. The tests could be easy if you read. I can not stress enough. If you do not like reading do not take this class.

This class takes a lot of dedication but she is the best professor I've had at SDSU. Changes your view but you work for your grade. Read and exams become easy. Go to office hours it helps so much! She knows her knowledge and keeps you interested.

Loves what she does and really tries to communicate with the students to reach the best way of teaching. Interesting material presented in a clear manner. Also very explicit in telling students what to expect on every test (essays). Great class!

She's a wonderful teacher who truly loves to teach. Tests consists of two essays and you have to write four papers throughout the class. She's very interactive with the class and reading is mandatory. The books and other readings are relatively difficult but she's more then happy to sit down with you and go over the readings.Great Lady.Hard Class

One of the best professors I've had the pleasure of learning from. My only advice is to only take her class if you're ready to truly listen and interact because that's how she teaches and it did wonders for me. Extremely interesting and extremely helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

One of the best professors at the school. Most people exaggerate when they say that but I'm really not. She grades fair and is absolutely clear when she's teaching. The more you put into class the more you get out, shouldn't worry too much about grades, but she can be particular about the essays, like most teachers... Highly recommend!

One of the best prof.s at my school. Absolutely serious. She's very clear when she's talking, like class involvement, and of course the more you put into class the more you get out. She's a fair grader, but you have to work to get the As. She particular about how she wants your writing style. (as w/ most profs) Highly recommend!

I took this class credit/no credit because of all the "SHE'S SO HARD" comments on this site, only to find that I was easily getting Bs on things. I students were over-studying. Just remember everything that has to do with religion in the readings. She grades like teachers should: Most people get Cs (average), you have to work hard for an A.

Unless you love to read and memorize tons of information, I would not take this class. I was hoping to have stimulating class discussions regarding the subjects, but there is none. The tests force you to store as much information as possible then regurgitate it back onto a piece of paper. It was a major let down of a class.

This teacher is an extremely hard grader!!! I studied like crazy and knew all the material and still only got Bs and Cs in the class!!! But do all the readings and the papers, and finish the quizes early, and you will do fine! She is very helpful too... so ask as many questions as you need to because she, and the readings, tend to jump around alot!

I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Moore as a person. However, this class was EXTREMELY HARD. There were 3 tests that were all essay tests and there is a 10 page research paper due the week before the final. DO NOT take this class to boost your GPA. And definitely do not take this class if you dont read (You are required to read 3 books)

She was a great teacher. There are a lot of essays and required readings to finish before class though. She's a tough grader on the essays, so if you're not a strong writer you might have some problems. The exams are ok, nothing too hard or too easy. I would recommend her if you're serious and willing to work hard. It's not a class to just bs.

New Testament is an interesting class and you learn a lot. BUT PROF MOORE IS SO FREAKIN HARD! She shows no mercy when she grades so if there is a quiz... study like its a test. Its passable. Three papers, three tests, and a million quizes (you can drop 5). She's nice but this will not boost ur GPA
