She's one of my favorite professors at SMC. There's readings every night and you have to submit a journal entry, but there's only 3 short papers and nothing else. It's a discussion class, so you have to participate. She can be condescending at times, but she tells great stories. Super easy class to get an A

Loved this CTS. Too many people complain about their professors. Stoddart is an amazing professor and mentor. If you take this class, just read the homework assigned, take notes, and talk in class. Everyday we read and talk about it in detail the next class period. Only 2 papers, 2 tests, 1 group project, and no final. Defiantly learned a lot!!

I'm a PSYC major, and she almost made me drop my major. The worst teacher I had. So rude and never helped you. Her developmental class was not even hard but she pulled questions out of no where and tricks you. She didn't even show up the last class to go over the final, and STILL tested us on it without her help. Run. Don't take in class. WORST.

I took two classes with Prof Stoddart, I developed a wonderful relationship with her as a psych major. Her developmental class is TOUGH and requires hard work, time, and effort. But this material is essential in the study of psychology. She is outgoing and encourages participation. I took her seminar group also and loved it!

Very easy class, all discussion over previous night's readings, no power points, movies and discussion, had 3 papers which were more opinion based, she's so nice and talks about her own stories related to the readings most of the class, also no tests!

We get nothing done in class. Tons of work- about 90 pages of reading a night- and we don't go over it. I like work, but I want it to be relevant. THEN she assigns these ginormous study guides, 4 days before the test which have nothing to do with what we discussed in class. Impossible. I thought about a psych major, then I took this class.

Witch is CRAZY!!! Never knew what we were being graded on. I got a lab back that said "Nice work!" with no other comments, and a C+ at the top. And that was pretty standard. She made up words in class, and when we asked her what she was talking about, she acted like we were dumb. I ended dropped it because I couldn't deal with her anymore.

Not an easy prof by any means, but has a good setup for the class and I learned quite a bit. Personality can be hard to take at times, she's been known to be a bit condescending. I would recommend to many, but not for everyone.
