honestly, i had pretty difficult professors in the past, but managed to get a B or higher in each of thier classes. This one is impossible. i came every day, did not understand a word of his mumbling, and passed barely. he is with out a doubt the worst professor i ever had and i'm a senior. what ever you do DON'T take him, he is truly horrible

He is a great professor and asks a lot from his students because YOU ARE IN COLLEGE. Listen to him talk, read your book, and make sure you review and take good notes. His gives you choices on the tests to pick what you want to talk about and is a fair grader (he gives a detailed grade report). Take him if you want to learn but not for an easy A.

He was a horrible professor...he was difficult to understand at times,attendance was taken everyday, and he gave no review for either the midterm and final (the only exams he based ur grades on) and he gave no extra credit..u have to take great notes in order to have a chance to pass his class

He has his heart in the right place, if u can tune ur ear to hear his mumbling he says a lot of smart things. Interesting subject and he has a lot of experience in the field. He's helpful and nice and the tests are pretty easy, he gives u A LOT of choices so you dont have to worry about knowing everything.

I LOVED THIS MAN!!! His tests are so easy to prepare for and he knows SO MUCH about his field. If you're willing to come half way he will meet you there and help you so much. Plus he knows so many intersting things about neuroscience!!

Dont understand why he has such a bad reputation. Only 2 tests. First section is vocab - only have to define 4 out of 24 words. Other 4 sections have 8 essays each and only have to do 1 out of 8. A little boring just as long as u read the book and study it's not that hard. Plus he adds 10 extra credit points to ur final grade if u participate.

Subject itself is great, which is why I took the course even though I heard mixed reviews about Stanford. He's not nearly as bad as his rep makes him out to be. As long as you keep up your end of the bargain, i.e. read, you'll be fine.

hard, hard, hard...this guy's class is so difficult. he talks too fast and your grade is determined by the midterm and the final (definitions and essays). he's a picky grader and you'll have to remember around 7 chapters for each exam.
