Comment:

I've had Reza as a professor twice now and each time I had regrets. His notes are organized; however, he goes so fast that it's difficult to actually listen to the lecture when you're frantically jotting down notes. Weekly quizzes, 2 to 3 questions each so if you miss one you're kind of screwed. Exams are very long and difficult. Avoid if possible.

MTH421 is an extreme difficult course. The professor make the quiz and exams supper difficult. If you do not study hard and complete the homework on time, you will fail the course. It is not a good idea to take math class with this professor.

He was a pretty good professor... The class itself is a pretty hard concept but as long as you do the homework, you should be fine. The quizzes are super hard but I found the tests slightly easier. Attendance is semi-mandatory but he has his own way of doing things and wants to see that on the test so the book is only good for the problems.

Hardest class I have ever taken. He goes through the material so fast you can't afford to get even a day behind. Pay attention in class, go to office hours, and expect to spend a lot of time studying.

Professor Akhtar is intense but it isn't hard to do well in his class. Since he presents material very fast, you can't afford to skip any class. His quizzes are hard but they don't hurt your grade by much so they're great indicators whether or not to go back and review. He curves massively on a test by test basis. Study hard and you're good!

Ahktar's class is not easy. He moves quickly and we covered an insane amount of material over the semester. However, he is very helpful and he teaches clearly. He will push you to do your best.

I took a class with him my freshman year, in a big lecture hall, in which I mostly sat in the back... Saw the guy on campus at the end of my senior year, and he still remembered my name! This guy is awkwardly fantastic, and amenable to helping you out if you need it and you've put forth the effort

Akhtar takes his teaching seriously, makes sure everyone understands and then moves on rapidly. If you do the homework and study quizzes you will do well on Exams. A random observation: Akhtar drops the chalk multiple times a class, you should count some time. I hope to take from him again.

Dr. Akhtar is easily the best math teacher I have ever had. I recommend him to anyone wanting to learn some awesome material and have fun while doing it. He has also subbed in my MTH 251 class and did an amazing job on that material.

he is one my favorite teachers ever...without a doubt. he gives clear and thorough explanations and he curves exams. i only missed 1 or 2 classes the entire semester cause i had no choice and i loved going to class...just pay attention and you'll get a B even without doing homework. daily jokes too.
