My ta was the one who effectively did all the teaching because he was such a bad lecturer. He would often ask students to close their eyes for no particular reason.

Being brilliant doesn't make you a good prof if you don't care about your students. Didn't seem interested in helping so much as intimidating.

Professor Askey instructed me brilliantly in calculus, common sense, and courtesy. He taught me how to conduct myself as a student and how to think about mathematics naturally. Yes, he is difficult and challenging, but so is college. And life.

Smart guy, but looked down on all the students b/c they don't have all the answers. Seemed to go out of his way to make you feel bad whenever you asked a question or didn't understand.

Close second to Jean Pierre Rosay as the absolute worst professor, not only is he a poor teacher, but he is also just a cruel person. Not professional at all.

This was by far the worst professor I ever had. He made it apparent that he did not care at all about our progress. I went to his office hours once and he made me cry by telling me that I was not smart enough to be in that class.
