I miss this class. Looking back, it was truly amazing, and I really leanred a lot about writing. While taking the class I really had no idea if I'd ever get a decent grade, but the hard work paid off in the end. Prof Benzinger is really a wonderful teacher, and I think logic and rhetoric was one of the best classes I have taken at Duquesne.

I hated poetry before I took this this guy, now I love it. You don't do much in class but go in and analyze the poems. He's a grumpy old man, but he's funny and you can tell he's been teaching for the better part of his life. He knows the material like the back of his liver spotted hand.

his exams are crazy hard. so after failing the first one i went up and spoke with him. I've never had a teach so engage me in conversation about my life and my goals. He made me feel at home and at ease. great teacher! Hard but knows much about subject matter.

A little scary at first, but he tells crazy stories and has an awesome sense of humor. He puts your writings on the overhead, but doesnt show ur name, so its not that bad. Overall the class is worthwhile and fairly easy
