Comment:
Had Biagioni for the Gen Chm lab. Not a very fun class but he would always help if needed. Would recommend for the lab section of the class, can see him being a harder professor in a lecture setting. He was also very helpful when I needed additional help outside of the class.

Biagioni was a pretty good teacher. He really knows his stuff and is better at explaining things one on one so it is good to go to the help sessions he offers or office hours. He reads right off the powerpoint for lecture but does have participation/clicker points every day in class so it is necessary you go to keep a good grade.

Biagioni was an okay professor. I had a better teacher in high school, but his class isn't bad. He teaches from the power points and gives extra credit opportunities. I personally believe his power points made no sense, and had now headers or direction to the material he was talking about. The class overall was alright.

Professor Biagioni is great! Attendance is not mandatory but you will miss clicker questions and skipping class will make you feel very behind in the class. He lectures through power points. Advice: PRINT THE POWERPOINT LECTURES and follow along in class. Biagioni responds to emails almost immediately. Very clear what he wants on tests. Take him!

Dr. Biagioni is professional and knowledgeable in chemistry. He reads through the PPT slides in class and gives a quiz per chapter each week. Textbook is not needed but it guides well when you are confused. Prepare the exams by going through the questions on PPTs and in the quizzes.

MAKE SURE YOU DO THE EXTRA CREDIT QUIZZES! They are so easy and save your grade. Also, he posts a sample test before each exam. If you can pass those, then you can pass the test. It can be hard to tell how well you are doing overall and it is easy to get lost. Stick with it! Overall a great professor!

Biagioni provides many resources to help you in this course. Printing out the powerpoint slides before class is very helpful because he goes through them quickly. Do the Mastering assignments and extra credit quizzes for each section! He posts a mock exam before each test in the same format, making his tests predictable and easy to study for.

His tests are based mainly off of the powerpoint material. While class is not mandatory and he can be very monotone, it is helpful to attend his lectures. He is always open for questions and he grades fairly easy, so if you go to class & study, you will do well.

He goes through easy things too much & harder things too little. He uses MasteringChemistry for homework, which has its good moments, but has far more bad moments. Sometimes you'll be a sig fig off & it'll take off. The text book can help if you didn't understand something in class, but he can make it easier.

During his lectures he moves fast so some students have trouble keeping up. He assigns a LOT of homework on mastering chemistry. According to my friends in other chem classes they don't have half of the homework he assigns. He posts a practice exam online so you will know what is on the test.

I took his CHM 160 class my first semester on campus. I found the class to be realatively easy because I had a strong chemistry background. However, he moves fast through things and it could be difficult for someone new to chemistry. The tests were pretty consistent with what was taught in lecture and practiced in the homework.

I hate science, but this guy is awesome. Every body knows him as the old Italian teacher that goes back and forth with his hand on his hip. He is a super nice dude that is very willing to help. As long as you PRINT off the power points and take notes, you're golden.

Dr. Biagioni puts a lot of irrelevant things into his powerpoints. I feel like he is so intelligent that he can't break things down into simpler ways of explaining. Homework on computer was tough. So were tests. My experience was not positive and I came to class everyday.

I loved having class with him. He made PowerPoints available before class to make note taking easier. He gave a lot of homework and quizzes, but it really helps boost your grade. He was always readily available to help and responded to emails quickly, even on weekends.

The class isn't easy, but Chemistry isn't easy. He was extremely helpful. The help sessions were my savior when it came to understanding material before the tests. DO the practice tests and there won't be any surprises on the tests. Lecture was a little boring but pay attention and go to class.

His lecture is a little boring but if you can pay attention you will do fine. I had little background with chem since my high school teacher was awful, but managed to do well in his class. The online quizzes go a long way in helping you learn and remember material. He puts more points on the test than total points worth so you have wiggle room.

He is VERY confusing and I was very frustrated with his condescending attitude. I am taking an entry level chem class and had little prior knowledge and he was EXTREMELY disorganized.

Comment:
Excessive homework & quizzes. Lecture notes are poorly done, you will have to rely on textbook for explanations. Use of mastering software requires hours of additional time on homework. Exams are too lengthy for time allotted to take them. Clickers are mandatory and cost a lot. Do not take this professor, or better yet take chemistry at OTC.
