Intro to Film was definitely a challenge. I took this class because I figured it would be an easy A. Professor Bullington has a passion for film, and if you do not share that same passion his course will be difficult. He grades harder than you would expect, for intro course; however, he takes things very seriously. You will either sink or swim.

I took for him for introduction to film, and let me say DONT TAKE HIM. I thought it was an intro class. Not with this guy, he treats it like its a grad school course. AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS. I accidentally spelled his name wrong on a paper and he made a snarky remark about it. Like seriously ? It was an accident.

If he doesn't agree with your opinion on just about every paper, be prepared to have absurd amounts taken off your grade for that paper. I seriously cannot believe that he is still employed by a University. The last discussion he assigns is a race topic, and I was practically berated for not agreeing with his opinions 100%.

He was a very hard grader. He only thinks that his opinion is the right opinion. The movies you watch are kind of boring and hard to follow. He doesn't have office hours, so you can't really talk to him outside of class. He is just an overall rude teacher and does not care if you pass or fail.

he is a terrible teacher and does not care that he is sabotaging your gpa and if he doesn't agree with your opinion he will take off a ridiculous amount of points for no reason. no amount of words can express my anger towards this class and his grading

Let's be real; Most students that sign up for Intro To Film are looking for an easy gen-ed class (why not? Gen-ed classes are already irrelevant to your degree). THIS IS NOT AN EASY COP-OUT CLASS. I REPEAT. NOT A SIMPLE CLASS. His discussion post/essay prompts are an essay within themselves. Very picky, critical, and a lot of work.

This professor was ok. Class was kinda boring although I looked forward to watching the movies. One thing that pissed me off was our final. He chose a horror film to watch which I thought was a terrible decision. The papers aren't but get used to writing them back to back. Im an average writer and received a B.

This professor is horrible . He is very anal . He is very rude . And the papers that he requires you to write are very picky & if you don't write a certain way and put things in the way that he would want them you will not get a good grade at all. He is rude to the special needs kid in my class and he just doesn't need to be here at this school . DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS ! I REPEAT DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS !

Rich is an okay professor. He tells us exactly what he wants in his papers. We have lectures in class which gives us a chance to share our views on the movies we watch. During lecture, he tells us that our observations aren't wrong, but those same observations are penalized in our papers. I find this extremely hypocritical and annoying.

This class was terrible, I recommend to not take this professor. We did 4 essays on movies we watched and he is very critical and picky on what you say in your essays. Also he is not helpful if you don't understand and he is rude.

When we took our first test, we had to write an essay about 2 different short films. The essay wasn't an issue, but the grading I got about my essay is what upset me. I described every tiny little thing about the films just how he asked. I made sure to incorporate words about film and I still managed to get a bad grade. He grades extremely tough.

He assigns a paper every week and if you use specific examples from the movies he shows then it's easy. He posts his power points online, and he does so for the movies if he can. He can be funny too but I wouldn't say he's the funniest guy in the world.

I'm a huge film buff and love to read, my girlfriend is a teacher with a masters in English. However, between the two of us writing my papers (1 every week) I cannot get an A. This dude is tough and very critical. Work hard, Stay up late, Follow the assignment to the letter... It wont matter, You will still get a subpar grade VERY HARSH GRADER!!!

Tough grader? No, he lays out (in the syllabus) exactly what he wants to see in your writing. I received 95's on many assignments. The tests are not hard, he gives a study guide. He does read directly from his powerpoint which are posted online and attendance is required! (he passes out a sign in sheet at no given time and many times throughout)

His class is horrible. I am an awesome writer, and he never gave me higher than a C on papers, which were assigned weekly. His grading is completely subjective. Also he just reads his power points in class, which are put online.

Do NOT take this class. For an INTO to film class, he is an extremely harsh grader. You will have to write papers every week and most likely won't make a high grade. I give my best work and can't make higher than an 82 on a paper because he normally just doesn't agree. If you value your GPA, don't do it. This class was a mistake.
