Well He says he doesnt curve , but if the class average is low he curves quite a lot and he is inspirational , smart old man. He's humorous and as long as you do the homework and attend lectures you should be fine because atleast 1 problem comes from the Hw problems he gave.

If you someone who needs examples and likes the simple way of understanding Calc 3 problems. Don't take him. Leave and go away. His free text that he gives out for the class is great because its free and you do not need to buy a textbook, however I feel like his notes are way too complicated to understand.

Churchill teaches Calculus 3 in great generality and theorems. This can make it harder to follow things since they can be so abstract. He writes his own text (given to us for free) and basically has everything you need. He goes over examples in more detail, so if you are a genius you can get away with not going to class. Would recommend.

I love Professor Churchill so much!! It's incredible how much he knows and how easy he makes it all seem. His tests are fair if you listen and do hw. He is always willing to answer questions. He's a very nice man and the little doodles that he draws on the board to accompany his lectures are adorable. Far from impossible to get an A!

Calculus 3 is the type of classes in which you'll need a professor to do as many problems as possible for you to understand the concepts. Unfortunately, prof Churchill is not this professor. He knows what he's teaching but he does not do a good job at communicating that knowledge to students. I wish I could say different but I would not recommend.

Ive had good math professors, Prof. Churchill is the best there is! Ask a lot of questions in the class, participate a lot. Do all the DNHI and homework. His exams are mostly problems he covered in class or from the DNHI. The exams are hard and vector calculus is a very hard subject. You dont need to read the textbook, he explains everything

Professor Churchill didn't just teach me Linear Algebra, he taught me how to do higher mathematics. Because of the foundation Churchill helped me lay in Linear Algebra, I was able to navigate through the rigorous proofs of Analysis and Abstract Algebra with ease. If you're really serious about mathematics, you'll start with Churchill.

Churchill has to be the best math professor at hunter especially for linear algebra. Linear algebra is very complex and most students have never been introduced to this way of thinking, but churchill breaks down the subject very well and gives clear examples, that make the concepts understandable. Do all the DNHI and all the hand-ins. Ask questions

He is a very generous grader. If you show him signs that you have understood the underlining concept and show some effort regarding the HW and the test he will give you a grade that is even higher than what you deserve.

He may be a little confusing sometimes, but in general he does a good job at clarifying certain concepts that are confusing in the text. The lectures are tedious. Homework isn't too bad and if you mess up on a couple, no biggie the exams are what count more. The exams are more liberally graded which is great, they get curved a lot which helps.

Great professor. Doesn't do a lot of problems, instead he explains the concepts in such a manner that you could solve any problem. There's three midterms and a final. He drops the lowest grade. No web assign, but there are homeworks and they count. The exams are largely based on the homeworks he assigns. Take him if you actually want to learn math.

Very nice professor. I took him for both calc 150 and 155, and he'd be my first choice for any math course. There's three midterms and one final, he drops the lowest grade. No web-assign, just some do not hand in and hand in problems. Exams are based on the homework he gives. Would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to actually learn math.

He OVER- explained if a few students voiced that they were lost. He kept his office hours and welcomed any silly mathematical questions (I asked a few). If you do his homework assignments (he will explained the answers in class) and if you memorize some proofs, you will be fine

I hated calculus before this course because my previous teachers didn't teach. Churchill actually explains everything properly and thoroughly. You can tell he has a strong passion for math because occasionally he gets excited about the topics and rambles but those moments only help clarify the problems you're doing. Highly recommend him.

Churchill connects with the students and constantly engages with his students. He always gives an opperunity for student to ask question, so take advantage of it, if you are lost. He is also much easier to understand if you go to his office hours. You need a strong will and not be scared off before the midterm. Everything is easier afterward.

Ok so churchill is a great professor. Although his book for linear algebra is TERRIBLE. The text is not for first semester linear algebra students. For some reason he likes it.Do your homework. and to do well on tests study his notes, homework, and the textbook. You can get a C alone on tests just by memorizing proofs and definitions.

this linear algebra class was very hard. the most difficult in my entire college career but was worth it. Churchill is very knowledgeable and a great professor. he grades his tests in a way that it is hard to fail. just memorize the proofs and the definitions and you are guaranteed a 70 on the test. test based on do not hand in and homeworks

He's a great professor who knows what he is talking about. Just do the "do not hand in problems" and the hand in problems and you will do great on the exams which are curved. Some of the problems on exams come straight from the homework.
