Comment:
I've been thinking about what I've wanted to say here for a quite some time. Dr. DeProspo is an interesting man. He's intelligent, but fails to portray the information to the class successfully. He will lecture the whole entire time, and you're only graded on three papers. He's incredibly difficult to follow, believe me, I've tried. Be wary.

Comment:
Professor DeProspo is an embarrassment to Washington College and a total failure as both a professor and person. He is a rude, arrogant, smug man who took the time to make a course out of his constant, irrelevant ramblings and 3 papers. He does not grade participation or anything else. Gives terrible feedback and will talk down to you.

Comment:
Profesor DeProspo is an interesting professor. He stands for the entire hour and fifteen minutes just lecturing to you about the readings and really doesn't insist on class participation. The grade does not include attendance and is only based off of three papers, which stinks if you do poorly on one of them.

Comment:
He doesn't care if you read the books, and you can miss a bunch of classes so long as you don't annoy him. He doesn't believe in class participation and your grade is entirely based on 3 papers, so if you mess one up, you're screwed. He talks for the entire 1hr 15min class and repeats himself a LOT. Most boring and confusing class I've ever had.

Comment:
He really knows what he's talking about, but he's bad at relating it to the class. His lectures are all over the place and are extremely long. Teaches bad writing habits that are specific only to his class, would not recommend applying his writing tips to other essays.

He gives very detailed feedback on your papers, which is extremely helpful. It's technically a literature class, but it's also the best writing class you will ever take.

DeProspo's one of the best! His lectures may feel a bit long on some days, but he definitely makes you think about what you've read. This class is great if you know how to write, or want to learn how to close read. Your grade depends entirely on your papers, and the assigned books. It is solely lecture, no participation, but he loves questions.

The class was boring to me. He did have some interesting points. I took notes so I wouldn't die of boredom and it helped me to write the papers. Just write down things he said in class. He likes that.
