One of the most intelligent, level headed, philosophers I've ever had the honor to learn from. Did not bring his personal political views into the classroom or try to rewrite history. A tad judgmental at end of semester when opinion wasn't asked for. Recommend all 2nd & 3rd year students take his classes. At least one.

I'm an English major but this was my favorite class all semester! As long as you make the effort to attend class & participate, you will succeed. READ THE TEXT because everything he asks is in there & your particip. will depend on your knowledge of it. The way he grades is decided by the class. Quizzes are easy as long as you read & ask questions.

Very difficult! Don't take his class unless you are fully prepared to work. Weekly summery's took hours to do, and sometimes would only get 5/10. He stresses grammar a lot, and is very conservative in his teachings.

He is a great teacher. My favorite teacher yet. He is extremely fair and lets students decide how they want to be graded. He lets you revise weekly papers every week and is very interesting teacher. You will learn a lot if you let yourself.
