Comment:

This was the best English class I have taken yet! I didn't know what it was like to have a teacher that actually wanted to help his students and cared about the subject that he taught. He is comical, he sarcastic and witty and it comes out when he is talking about our reading or having a little fun in class. Loved this class!

Comment:

You get homework in which he calls "quizzes" he gives you about a week and a half to do them and they consist of 4-7questions. You get 3 out of class essays he does have high standards on them so take advantage of office hours so he can help you but don't show up empty-handed. He hates Trump FYI don't take his class if you're going to get offended.

Comment:

I took this class several years ago, about seven years ago, so the setup of this class may be different now. But when I took it the teacher was funny, and he made you think about things from a different perspective, and challenged your traditional way of thinking. His grading criteria is very clear. I was horrible in English, but not this class.

Comment:

He is a tough grader, his assignments are okay, but if you don't do your homework or any assignment you will fail his class, this was my mistake. I had a cousin who passed away and I spoke to him about it "If there was anyway I could take my final some other day and he said "NO". Wish he could've been a little nicer but he seemed not to care.

Great teacher he's so open and funny. He's very approachable, and very easy to talk to. Your able to ask questions and get good feedback. He grades honestly, and isn't to tough on deadlines. His lectures are easy to get through and he is very easy to understand. he jokes around a lot so don't take him to seriously!

Probably the best teacher I've ever taken in my life. He's so funny and his lectures are amazing. He's easy to understand, approach and question. You have take home quizzes on essays you read but they aren't hard. I wish he taught english 1b or 1c too.

Professor Edmunds is one of my favorite professors. He is hilarious and accessible outside of class. At first, he may come off as intimidating, but if you really get to know him he is a very caring and sweet guy. There were 3 in-class essays and the final itself. Be prepared to read and write a lot.

Definitely the best English teacher ive taken. From Reading class-English 1A I took this teacher. Awesome sarcastic sense of humor and always willing to give advice and lots of feedback!

This guys Is awesome. previously took English 51 with him and loved his class. I would highly recommend taking English with this teacher. His class does not drag on and he is always making you laugh.

Mr Edmunds is one of the best teachers I've ever had, he is straightforward and funny. He gives awesome feedback for your writing assessments so I recommend seeing him in his office hours. He's a great teacher and helped me a lot!

He is a really funny and logical professor. As long as you are willing to learn how to write he will teach and guide you. I recommend going to him in his office to review essays. He gives great writing advice. Just make sure you actually make some of the corrections he suggests. He is not very politically correct but that's fine in my opinion.

Tough grader, must always complete the homework, must always attend lecture. If you don't do your out of class writing assignments, you'll fail this class. Provides excellent feedback on papers and has interesting lectures based on content read. Great sense of humor and a positive environment.

I really enjoyed this teacher. Lots of "quizzes" from short stories that you did at home, using the book and a few in class and a few out of class essays. Discussions about quizzes were usually pretty fun. I'd be taking him again in spring 2017 but it didn't work with my schedule.

Edmunds is awesome. I wouldn't say that the class is easy but if you listen to what he says it is possible to do well. He lays out exactly what he wants. I took two classes with him and would take more if i could. He is definitely one of my favorite professors at yuba college.

Great instructor. He makes you take quizzes almost daily, but they are easy as long as you do the reading and think about it. Gives a total of three out of class essays, that YOU MUST DO. Failure to turn one in will result in an "F" for the course grade. The essays are a bit difficult, but he makes is office hours available to help you.

He's a cool dude and I like the way he teaches. He has quizzes you take home and do but they're pretty easy if you put in effort. He gives a lot of time to do your essays and his in class essays usually relate to some of the readings we do. I always come in late so don't do that but overall he's a great teacher and I would take his class again.

Edmunds is a really good teacher! He knows his stuff and it very passionate about Poetry and English Lit. in general. His sarcasm is hilarious. This is essentially no homework for the class, just three tests, a paper and class participation make up the class grade. If you follow along with the reading and take notes you will pass the class!
