Dr. Findler has been one of the hardest teachers I've had in my 4 years at SRU. His grading criteria is extremely unclear. In the syllabus it reads your grade is ultimately up to me. Doesn't use D2L so you need to keep all of your papers in case he decides to do something weird. Missing class for any reason will cost you. He doesn't care why.

Findler really is by no means a bad professor, he just really makes you work for it. Some of his teaching methods are a little annoying, but as long as you do all the work you should be fine, even if it can be tedious. If you get an A on the final, you get an A in the course. Don't take this class unless you are going to prioritize it.

Do not take Dr. Findler for any class, I have him for a 100 levee ethics class and its impossible to pass. Doesnt use D2L at all! Expects you to keep track of your own grade. AVOID!!

Dr. Findler is one of the best professors this university has to offer. Very intelligent. People are complaining that you have to work hard, and you do but why wouldn't you expect that? He doesn't take bs, but as long as you show up, do the readings and assignments to the best of your ability, and just show effort in the class you'll be fine!

Great introduction to Hegel, Kierkegaard, and Nietzsche! Expect about 4 hours of homework after each class. Dr. Findler is a great professor and the guy is hilarious. Its a win win.

Gives one a good introduction to types of moral relativism, but mainly focuses on a deontological framework for ethics. Class requires about 2-3 hrs of homework after each class and he gives open note quizzes about every class period. Dr. Findler is a great professor.

It seems like his goal is to make his students fail. He grades his tests super hard, and his feedback is illegible. If you ask him what something says, he gets angry or will probably just ignore you.

Great guy, hilarious lectures but don't be fooled. Be ready to do 6+ hours of homework for this class PER class. Not only is it a lot of homework but it is ALL busy work. DO NOT TAKE

By far the worst professor I have had at SRU. Homework is assigned every day. I spent more time doing work for this class than all of my other classes combined. His grading is not based on any scale. It seems like you chooses a random grade to put on your quizzes and that is the grade you get. Do not take this professor.

He's a nice guy, I just can't understand anything he says. He doesn't have an accent, he just mumbles. His handwriting is horrendous. Having bad handwriting is one thing, but he puts zero effort into it. He doesn't even try to make it legible. Tests aren't too hard but he is a tough grader. I will avoid in the future if possible.

Dr Findler was my favorite professor. Many complain about who he is and how he teaches but after taking 4+ classes with him, I realized it's because he's passionate about what he teaches. Never got less than an A. Read the assigned reading, come to class, participate, ask questions, and if you're not understanding, stop by his office. He will help!

Dr. Findler is by far the most fantastic professor I have had thus far. He is incredibly intelligent and inspiring. I leave each of his classes thinking about the lessons or lectures for hours sometimes days. His classes are not easy, you have to work very hard, but when you do well you know you have accomplished something, welcome to college.

This man runs this class as a dictator. You get no excused absences. He will fail ou for almos anything. You have multiple homework assignments due every class. There are no extra credit opportunities or makeup assignments. He is sarcastic, uses profanitiy, is rude, and he does not care for you as a student with an outside life!

By far the hardest class I have ever taken in my college career. You constantly had to read, take notes and attend class. Homework was given every class and was extremely time consuming. But all the hard work was rewarding;Dr. Findler is one of te best professors I have had. He is helpfu and willing to help outside of class. Be ready to work.

This class was challenging but not too difficult. As long as you go to class and take notes the tests aren't bad. he always gives review questions and goes over exactly what will be on the test. He really wants all of his students to pass so if he sees you struggling he'll try to help you out. Great class and really interesting!

If you're not a philosophy major DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Readings are tough but the assignments are just unnecessarily long. Assignments due every class 20+ pages . If you don't read you wont pass. For a 100 level class it is extremely tough. 1ox Harder than my 300 level philosophy class. Great guy but workload is extreme for 100 level

Basically read material and then gives a short quiz on it but you can use notes. If you don't like the grade you got on the quizzes you can redo the assignments. Every class is a discussion and he asks a lot of questions and does this weird little laugh. He's a cool guy but the material is usually hard and really makes you think. Overall an ok clas
